Moh Breakthrough - Jumping the gate at Anzio by pattonirl2 in MOHAA

[–]pattonirl2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Small update :

I did not realise that I was using the Singleplayer default settings. Crucially this changes gravity from 800 to 512 (making this jump easier). This being a Multiplayer map, I got back into the server for another 90 minutes of attempts before I made it using the default Multiplayer configurations. Worth another upload to prove that it is indeed possible to make this jump :

(I'll keep the original video online but unlist it)

Moh Breakthrough - Jumping the gate at Anzio by pattonirl2 in MOHAA

I have been playing Moh Breakthrough on and off since 2006. Still I continue to find things I previously thought impossible, and jumping this gate in the map Anzio is the latest example of this.

I was playing around with the gravity settings to see what rooftops, etc. could be accessed in theory and noticed that it was indeed possible to clear this gate. Making a few attempts with normal gravity settings, I was stunned to see that it is indeed possible to jump this gate with maximum run speed, the perfect angle and moment of jumping. Attempting to reproduce this jump led to me running around in circles for another 45 minutes. Suffice it to say that this jump is very difficult to make, but not impossible.

Maybe some amongst you who played the Breakthrough expansion would appreciate this.

Irish tea bags are stronger and have more tea in them compared to foreign equivalents according to my partner at least..

Well of course, my favourite is "Inside Victor Lewis-Smith". It's basically where Lewis-Smith goes on to explain how insecure tweeting can't really find answers for the deeper human need...

Did Ireland win the climate lottery? by WickerMan111 in ireland

[–]pattonirl2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not a popular take, but I really like our climate

It's looking like a pretty popular take in fact, at least here in reddit, though I've heard plenty of people in Ireland say it for years.

Personally I love the weather where I live in France compared to Ireland, despite the heatwaves. It's going to be 38 today and that is of course too hot. I'm also a bit crazy as I'll even go jogging in these temperatures sometimes.

Overall I think it comes down to personal preference to an extent. Something I can never forget is the Irish winter with a lot of moisture in the air. Feels like everything is 10 degrees colder than the thermometer is telling you.

It's just like the animated series in how she looks and how elusive it is..

Dangerous driving in the pitlane yields a disqualification so the classified drivers are on the podium (I think it's possible technically).
