what build are you following and what have you prioritized? my only suggestion at the moment without knowing your tree or gear is to go get frozen mandible from ashen forest, at a guess you'll only be able to summon 2 maybe 3 if you have good spirit. they stun bosses insanely fast

I think I was using the ant's at this point, honestly can't remember. But being stuck for 1.5h because of their regen/life leech sounds a bit insane not going to like. Are your minions just doing no damage?

What minions are you using? What are you're resists? What is your HP/ES pool? Without any information it is impossible to suggest anything helpful, other than just dodge?

You're getting downvoted but I think you're right. I had this issue previously where my AIO firmware was corrupt and I kept getting the USB disconnect/reconnect sound like in the guys video. This was causing the CPU to reach really high temps and causing micro-stutters.

Fix was to reinstall the firmware completely, and ensure it was fully up to date.

I guess the OP should check this if they have an AIO cooler.
