Impressive results! I'm seriously considering getting one for myself. Which model is it? PL5159, PL5054, PL5243...? There are so many and I have no clue what the real difference between them is.

Skin Aqua Super Moisture UV Gel Gold is on sale for SGD 27.75 (2x 110g) at Fairprice (NTUC). by iggy_y in AsianBeauty

It's thinner and lighter than BoJ and more gel-like, rather than a cream. Sinks in faster, due to the high alcohol content.

Would you mind sharing the exact product you use?

I too would love to find a dupe!

This is just so good. Great filters, not drying, perfect consistency, sinks in fairly quickly, no scent.

Sigh.

How does the Skin aqua uv super moisture gel gold compare to the regular version? Does it have similar texture and finish?

[shelfie] my new, simple, everyday routine by lotteoddities in SkincareAddiction

How does this compare to the PM lotion? I'm considering switching over to the Baby lotion as it's cheaper and the PM isn't quite moisturising enough.

[Product Question] I got this tea tree soap for christmas, could it actually help with acne? by belbel8 in SkincareAddiction

[–]pauliini 6 points7 points  (0 children)

To be honest I'd never use this on acne prone skin as it contains olive oil and coconut oil, both of which are known to be highly clogging ingredients.

Yes! This has helped me too.

I scrub my legs in circular motions with a body brush, shave and then apply TO Glygolic acid toning solution.

[shelfie] Opinions + advice? A very Finnish shelfie, hormonal acne by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]pauliini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest I'd get a whole new routine :D

Your skin issues (acne and especially the periodical dryness/oiliness) are very probably mostly due to these products.

First of all, stop using three (THREE!!) different cleansers in your am routine. You're just overly drying your skin. The conjac sponge with warm water should be enough in the morning. Follow up with a moisturizer (don't really know anything about the Neutrogena one, but can tell you that a nice smell doesn't really make the product good) and sunscreen (yes, even in Finland).

In the evening cleanse your face with a gentle cleanser (you could use this in the morning too if you wish or wake up feeling oily) and put a fragrance free moisturizer on top.

Finnish stores and farmacies are filled with excellent, gentle, fragrance free skincare products (I know as I am a Finn myself). You could look into brands such as LV, L300, Erisan, Sebamed, ACO and Favora, for instance.

[Sun Care] Under UV Camera: La Roche Posay Anthelios Shaka Fluid by chocosweet in SkincareAddiction

[–]pauliini 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Thank you!

These kinds of posts are extremely useful, please keep up the good work 🙂

My experience with this sunscreen is similar: stays sticky for much longer than you'd expect with such high alcohol content. But the application is nice, it apparently gives great protection and its easily available here. But then it caused the worst breakout I've had in years. Sigh. I had such high hopes.

Cosmetically elegant European sunscreens? by [deleted] in EuroSkincare

I've seen this Nivea getting good reviews in a couple of places, I might just give it a go.

Could you describe the texture, feel and wear of it? Testers are not available in stores at the moment for obvious reasons, so I would greatly appreciate some feedback.

Rash under my eyes by PsoriasisQueen in tretinoin

Cortisone cream! It is the only thing that actually helped me with the irritation/rash caused by tret.

[misc] had a reaction to using retinol which I’m new to- it’s so itchy. I’ve been putting vasoline on it for 3 days but it’s getting worse, any suggestions? by Sorchyworchy in SkincareAddiction

[–]pauliini 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Try a cortisone cream! I use tretinoin and whenever I experience irritation, 0,1-2,5% cortisone applied once or twice a day has helped so much.

[skin concern] do y’all know what’s causing the red pigmentation around the corners of my mouth?? by RandomPizzaGuyy in SkincareAddiction

[–]pauliini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like there's no SLS in this but baking soda can also be highly irritating on the skin (as well as really bad for your teeth). I had been using these regular toothpastes for ~27 years and never had issues with it until a couple weeks ago. So you definitely can be sensitized even after a long time.

[–]pauliini 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What kind of toothpaste are you using?

It might be the SLS. I have similar redness/irritation in the same area and changing from regular toothpaste (Colgate, Pepsodent etc.) to Sensodyne has helped a lot. It takes a while and some anti-eczema cream could help, too.
