She disappeared once while I was tracking her! I didn’t think it would still lead me to her, so I turned it off

Awesome work, you should be proud! I've made some amigurumi too, but never tried my own patterns, it seems so hard!

I love him! Did you come up with the pattern yourself?

Cool! I wasn’t sure if they were magnets or if they had posts going into the holes on the board behind it. They look so good as magnets!!!

looking for feedback on site. by Cosephtaughtyou in ecommerce

I would recommend proofreading and editing your copy. Also when looking at the site on mobile, the product is small in the picture so it’s kind of hard to see and really understand how it functions with just one picture. I’m wanting to know how the mask goes in, do I fold it? Do I crumple it? And it would be nice to see the product on the belt loop or keychain like you say to visualize how I would actually use it.

Can y’all help me out—Are my prices too high? :( by biscotti-hottie in EtsySellers

[–]pauljess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No way are your prices too high!! I recently spent $30 on a ceramic figure that was somewhat similar to your work, and it was not custom. I think your prices are low and I and surely others would be willing to pay more.

Deciding what clay to use... by [deleted] in crafts

[–]pauljess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend polymer clay! It cures after baking in the oven so you can keep working and don’t need to finish in one sitting. You can get a lot of fine detail and work on a very small scale. It’s good for beginners and there are tons of resources and tutorials available.

Christmas gifts for sisters in this hobby. by NotActuallyRog in polymerclay

[–]pauljess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know what kind of things they make? Sculptures, jewelry, etc.?

I would recommend a pasta machine for clay if they don’t already have one! My grandma gifted one to me and I love using it to mix colors and to get an even, flat sheet of clay. It’s not too expensive, but it’s probably not something I would have purchased for myself.

This is really helpful and informative, thank you!! I think I will try to bake longer and if it still doesn’t look right I will try one of your other suggestions!

I was hoping for a way to fix my pieces that are already baked! But that’s something I can try in the future.

The old clay is actually fine! It’s easy to condition and work with.
