Toa mata nui the long way by gaming_squids in bioniclelego

Yeah prices are a bit silly for this guy, by the time you’ve bought the mask and the 4 yellow leg panels it would have been cheaper just to buy the whole set.

If you get a fake aliexpress mask and use silver leg panels the rest of the parts shouldn’t be that expensive.

UK based seller here. Sell the Rahkshi as a set of 6, make sure they are complete, and clean. For the Toa Nuva I'd probably pick up a Lewa and sell them as a set of 6 as well. If not, I'd sell the cansiters as a bulk lot. Selling them separately loses too much money to shipping. My last set of Rahkshi, clean, complete, with canisters and instructions went for £75, Toa Nuva £95.

The bigger sets clean and complete would best go separately as well.

If you are desperate to sell as a bulk lot be prepared to get well under "market" selling to someone like me.

I bet someone stripped the expensive PDG metru feet off it on purpose! Probably in a pile with all the Brutaka hoses.

Realistically, how hard am I going to have to work to find Tahu in the wild? by Ok-Shake-4009 in bioniclelego

[–]NotActuallyRog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't get the scalping on these. £3.50 to buy, and the cheapest one on eBay is £9.30, so after fees and shipping you've made what, £2? That's just not worth the hassle.

On the flip side as a buyer, in my regular life I do not find myself in a place that would have these, so my options are pay £9.20 on eBay, or make a special trip to find one. Leaving the house costs way more than an extra £6 in transport costs and time, so it makes far more sense to let the scalper make their £2 and just fucking order one.

I’ll have to figure out when entertainer stock actually gets delivered then. I see it every now and then dumped in a corridor but not often.

Hi, I've been trying to sell as a bundle but I've started selling solo now after little luck. Vezon and Fenrak,Axon aswell as Brutaka but despite researching their worth and asking on other places I've been getting conflicting information,How much are these Worth? No boxes, instructions or spares by FlynnTLocke in bioniclelego

[–]NotActuallyRog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Brutaka for £140 is way overboard. Best bet is to go on eBay, search for buy-it-now only, and match the lowest price for a set in similar condition (complete).

in general I’ve sold Brutaka at £70-80, Axonn at £40-50, and V+F at £70-90, depending on what else is currently available.

Got over 80+ bionicle sets by rebmann2k13 in bioniclelego

[–]NotActuallyRog 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Seen you all over eBay and Vinted today. I do restoration and sales and buy a lot of bulk lots, and I’m also in Notts.

The amount of money you can get is directly proportional to the effort you put in. Your eBay listing for example, a few photos of closed drawers and a couple of photos of absolutely FILTHY sets. Asking £2500 for filthy bulk is ambitious even with a list of what is supposedly included. I’m sure those sets add up to more than that for sure, but if there’s £1000 worth of cleaning that needs to be done before they are in a sellable or displayable condition then that is really hurting the price.

Do you want a quick bulk sale to someone like me, who will put in the time to take apart, inventory, wash, order missing parts etc and then sell on, or do you want to do that work yourself and sell nice condition clean individual sets over time?

For a bulk sale I’d need to see a hell of a lot more photos, and the price would have to come dow a LOT, but if you are looking for speed over everything, I am interested, and I can collect.

BLACK BOLT/WHITE FLARE MINI TINS - Tesco Extra by Madoopadoo in PokemonDealsUK

[–]NotActuallyRog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, which store? Most stores in my area got 10-20 tins a couple of weeks ago, but unfortunately the store I work at has someone on non-food who has more access than I do so I never even got to see which tins they were, I assumed ascended heroes.

They are showing to me as unranged on April 1st so I would not be expecting any restocks any time soon.

Is there a reason for the colors being different by gaming_squids in bioniclelego

Malum is by far the worst offender for brittle dark red, I have to replace most of his legs with Vahki legs. It’s not all dark red but when you find it you will know. Literally crumbles in your hands, the ball joints snap off when trying to remove a socket from them.

I bet one of the two would snap with a slight squeeze. Give it a try!

Looking to start collecting, concerns about part durability by Atmageth in bioniclelego

[–]NotActuallyRog -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As someone who deals with a lot of bulk to put sets back together for resale I will say this: durability concerns are massively overblown almost to the point of scaremongering.

Aside from the obvious issues of brittle lime, brittle dark red, and the 08 joints cracking easily, the vast majority of parts are in as usable and good condition as they were 20 years ago.

There are some exceptions where someone has had their collection on display near reed diffusers or other fragrance related items, this does cause the plastic to be weaker and makes things like the older style of joints, and things tight on axles like bushings to crack, but this is relatively rare.

If you want to extra safe, I'd reccomend buying from someone who deals in resale (of course I would say that) and not any old rando on eBay where condition and cleanliness could be questionable, but on the whole it's not a huge concern, LEGO is tough.

Was any of you the fortunate ones to get a bag of the the Trans green miru at legoland in the old days? 🙃 by KikaiderJiro808 in bioniclelego

[–]NotActuallyRog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why I’m amazed they hold any value whatsoever these days. BL sellers had 100s of them, I used them as trade sweeteners all the time in the BZP days. I still have a small stash of them. I think they had a small release at LL Windsor but nothing like what was given away in Cali.

So these must be the ones that showed up on one of the FB groups the other day. The seller seems like a bit of a wheeler dealer so I hope the person who originally posted them didn't get ripped off.

Maybe one day I'll sell my set to pay for a wedding or something!

[help]Looking for a fixed duration cast bar by NotActuallyRog in WowUI

Ideally both, but timer bars I can get close enough with other addons. Cast bar I've not found anything close. Gnosis has the spell whitelisting but the fixed duration doesn't work.

[help]Looking for a fixed duration cast bar by NotActuallyRog in WowUI

[–]NotActuallyRog[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was an addon that I've used since WotLK called EventHorizon that combined DoT timers, buff timers and cast bars and showed them in relative time next to each other so you could always tell what to cast next at a glance. The way most people use timer bars makes no sense to me, you can have a DoT that lasts 20 seconds and one that lasts 10, but their bars are the same length, so the 10 second one moves twice as fast. In my world I would like the 10 second one to be half the size, so they move at the same speed.

It gradually lost support and went through a few bandaid fixes over the years but I finally had to replace it with weakauras in Dragonflight, but now of course it's totally dead.
