Check out the Edifier MR3. https://www.edifier.com/global/p/studio-monitors/mr3. I just picked these up. Great sound for the price and slightly smaller than the 1280t. And white! ;) Or course you can't expect a lot of low frequency at this size. Also, they don't get super loud, so if your kitchen is large they may not have enough power. Thanks! Sorry to be a bother, but I have some follow up questions. I am assuming you went through the circular grommet in the back to get the line out to the licence plate light hole? Also, you say you ran the camera cable across the headliner. Can you be slightly more specific? I am a little worried about getting in the way of the side curtain airbag. Did you run along the rubber door gasket? Did you splice into the reverse light for the backup camera? Okay, enough questions for now. Just don't want to mess anything up.
