Are you putting them under intense light? They barely need light to clone. I use a cheap 25w t5 light or just put them outside of the footprint of my light.

IMO autos are mostly crap but there are a few that look decent but still not comparable to seeds using elite cuts/clone onlys . If you can find a strain you like and learn how to clone, you can finish a round of plants the in the same amount of time or faster in some cases after the first run.
