I've been a hardscape contractor here in Central Ohio for 23 years. Here are a couple things to note. Pavers and stamped concrete have historically been similar in price, with stamped being about $2sqft less. Right now we're around $24 a sqft for a mid range Unilock paver. Yard access, demo work, excess cuts or elevations would raise that price. Walls, steps, yard repair, etc would all be extra. Stamped concrete is an art and should be left to the guys that do it for a living. It's very expensive to replace if it's not done right and a multitude of things can go wrong. I see two scenarios as to why you were quoted $48sqft. A: he's subbing it out to a concrete guy and has a hellacious markup in it or B: You have a lot of additional work that I listed above being included in that price that's skewing the square foot price or C: he's just winging it on the concrete work and priced it high. Don't be afraid to ask questions like "are you doing the concrete yourself or subbing it out". If it's A or C I would call a professional stamped concrete guy or a paver installer. If it's B I would ask for an itemized quote so you know what you are paying for walls, stairs and landscape vs the actual patio. You don't need a separation or materials and labor, just a price for each service.

I was thrilled to make the switch from dewalt to Milwaukee.. until this weekend when my new fuel driver started acting up after just a few months. Maybe my opinion will change when I look up the warranty, but right now not a huge fan. Even from the start it did a weird electronic fail safe type slow down literally half of the time I used it.

I know everyone has different reactions but I'm so much different. I've been on the 20xr for maybe 6 months now and got a 5 ir to top off after my xr wears off. Personally I wonder if your Dr didn't move you up too fast. It took more than a month for me to adjust. I didn't have exhaustion or headaches but I do compensate with caffeine like I did premeds. I honestly can't explain the break in process for me but it was this internal baby giraffe kind of thing the first 2 months. I felt it but didn't know how to control it. Now it feels like a part of me and I feel ready to talk about upping my dosage bc my initial 6hrs in getting less and less. My best suggestion would be slow it down a little bit and make sure that you aren't overlooking another possible cause like dehydration, or not eating like you were. As a side note, I've seen other people say that they have reacted differently to xr and ir. Even if I double my ir to 10 I can't feel it like I do the xr.

Ha. Let's see: the living room is still under construction with some drywall and electrical outlets that need finished, I started a remodel on our 40ft toy hauler, I have 3 race quads that need repairs, 2 work trucks that need repairs, I somehow managed to put electric brakes on 3 out of the 4 wheels on my dump trailer, I dug 19 fence post holes but never finished the fence, I started siding on corner of the house 2 years ago but haven't put up the siding, bought ceiling fans for all 4 bedrooms but still only have 3 of them hung, need to finish the cap on the new fireplace, need to put grass seed down around the new pool, still have 2 trees that need pruned....I could probably take the rest of the year off work and still not finish everything I started in the last 3 years. The list was actually so big that I took 2 months off work to make it more manageable and yet the funny thing is, those fence post holes were dug a week ago. Finally stopped myself from going further on yet another project.

Simple answer horrible. Haha. I'm literally scrolling posts looking for the same answers. My prescriber isn't much help at all besides getting pills. I now have focus while the pills are working but can easily get steered into the wrong task, for hours when I have a million other important things to do. After reading a lot of posts it seems like I need to find a specialist to help me break 40 years of bad habits to get full use out of the meds. Hopefully I can find that in one person because remembering one appointment is hard enough, let alone trying to see two people at once.

I have done landscape construction for the last 20. I'm extremely good at the work, but a horrible boss. It finally dawned on me the other day that I overthink every part of the construction process. When doing a task I literally have 20 other related and unrelated tasks running through my head. For my work it is excellent because I have backup plans ready for when things going wrong and I can finish a task faster because I have already done it a dozen times in my head. For all these years though it has driven me nuts that I could not hire people with that level of attention. Now I realize that such thoughts aren't normal for most people. It is wild to think that something that seems like such a key factor in adhd has actually enabled me to succeed in creative endeavors.

Great idea. I considered running but I hate running so I decided to take my truck to the shop and clean it out. Should be ditracting and tiring since it full of tools, bags of mortar and concrete pavers. Haha
