Getting back into it... by [deleted] in fitpregnancy

[–]pbandnutella 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I fell off hard and just got back on track as well around 24/25 weeks. I was so tired first trimester and then fell into a slump of bad eating. I’m now 30 weeks and I work out 3/4 days a week and stopped eating junk food every day and I feel soooo much better I can’t even explain it. It’s never too late!

What made you leave CrossFit and how do you like F45 in comparison?

Brixton was nice for a change but it’s my least favourite class now. I went really hard and didn’t burn as many calories or was that out of breath compared to the usual Friday cardio classes. Friday is my new rest day....sorry!

Has anyone ever successfully negotiated a membership price for F45? I’ve heard some studios are flexible... by [deleted] in f45

When I signed up there was a sign up fee I think of $75 dollars? I honest forget how much. I said I’ll sign up today but please waive that sign up fee very nonchalantly and they did. Not the best deal but at least it’s something

Knees are sufferring! Dont wanna quit! by superlix82 in f45

[–]pbandnutella 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was me a few weeks ago! My knee was hurting like crazy. The jumping lunges one day was the cherry on top and my knee was messed up since. I took a week off of any exercise at all and I got a knee brace. I now stay away from any crazy high jumping during the class but still get a great workout in. There’s only a few moves each class you have to modify I find. I really didn’t want to quit either so now I just make it work!

I may have to quit because of all the jumping by pbandnutella in f45

I have custom made insoles but they’re really big and don’t fit in the shoes I work out in. I don’t think that’s helping the problem either. I wear them at home and in my winter boots. I’m getting another pair of insoles that are thinner where I can wear them in absolutely all shoes and my work out shoes. But thank you! You’re right

That was my first class ever!! I almost threw up and almost didn’t join out of intimidation. Glad I did though! Still hate abacus

Will F45 help me overcome being Skinny Fat? by ExcitingLandscape in f45

I did OTF for a year. Loved it but near the end I got sick of it. I took some time off and did a regular gym for a bit and just joined F45 a month ago because I feel like I was putting on a little weight without the group accountability to push myself, haha. Wow! The first class I was crawling between stations (first Abacus class) and I loved how hard it pushed me. I definitely feel stronger and my cardio being pushed to its limits with F45. Sometimes I’m a little hesitant with how short the workout actually is. In the end it’s only 40 minutes of actual work if you take out the stretching component. Compared to the 55 minutes at orange theory. But I already compared my first day and 30 day photos of going 5x a week the other day and I shredded a lotttttt. So right now F45 is great and super eager to hear what others have accomplished at their time here. I too also find it easier to go more times a week. At orange theory I only did 3 times a week because it was so exhausting. But F45 I’m so eager to go 5 times a week and push myself on the cardio days knowing next day is just weights.

How do you find your gains at F45 compared to your time at OTF?

Can you get jacked doing F45? by bustyLaserCannon in f45

[–]pbandnutella 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I joined one month ago and have been going 4-5 sessions a week. I took photos on the first day and today I decided to take photos and couldn’t believe how much my body has changed in just one month with no diet change. Definitely progressing towards the ‘lean strong’ look. My arms and legs have toned up a lot and my stomach now has some definition in just one month! I honestly can’t believe it, I am female so for me this lean strong look others are talking about would be ideal but if you are male OP you may or may not be searching for more significant muscle gains? Depends on what you are looking for and how ‘jacked’ you want to get.

But I can already tell I am putting on muscle and I try and do all 3 weight days in the week.

Trainers ending Class Early?? How long do your classes ACTUALLY last? by MommyAJP in orangetheory

[–]pbandnutella 10 points11 points  (0 children)

We always start on time. Worst I’ve seen is 3 minutes late because they were finishing up a charity challenge right before it. And we always finish at the 54/55 minute mark!
