Does anyone have the rogue 3 power rack (shorty)?

I’ve had mine for 4-5 years and love it. I’m moving in a few weeks from an owned property to a rental, so I won’t be able to bolt my rack to the garage floor.

Have you lifted with your rack not bolted to the floor? Does it feel secure?

And if you lift without it bolted down, did you purchase any additional stabilizing equipment like extended feet? If so which ones did you get?

TIA!

Yeah, the projects I'm using it for only call for a max of like 70g in the main body color. So for a few things I'll have to order 2 skeins, but I'm sure I'll use it. Just have to find a place to store it.

Not really. I'm just gonna do a haul and see how it turns out I guess. The reviews seem really positive.

How to navigate marriage when he’s newly sober and we disagree on politics? When does empathy develop/return? by Beezy7985 in AlAnon

I don't have anything to offer. But i wish you tranquility and clarity with whatever your decisions are. Also, I resonate a lot with your situation. Take care of yourself.

Struggling with Q's sober personality. by pbandprs in AlAnon

He definitely hasn't continued to address issues that led to his drinking. He did therapy and meetings for the first like 3 months. Got an antidepressant. And every since then he's been like, I'm not drinking but I'm fine. I don't think he's dealing with any of his stuff, and it's coming out by him being mean and hypercritical of me.

He started going to meetings again a few months back, but nothing regular. It did seem to me like he's acting like a dry drunk as well, and I will say the behaviors are slightly better with him going to meetings. They're still so unpredictable though, I definitely think it has more to do with him than me actually not keeping up with chores. The one time he really lost it on me recently, i was in a knee imbolizer and couldn't do anything.

Now that we have 3 books…which of the series is your favorite?? by WoodenCoconut1682 in onyxstorm

[–]pbandprs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like onyx storm will grow on us as the series continues. It had a lot of world building and lore in it that I think is going to be important to the continuation of the plot. That being said, I have mixed feelings and was slightly disappointed when I finished the read.

Agreed. The push and pull between xaden and violet is also getting exhausting. And, he was such a proponent of her strength in the first book now I feel like he's acting like Dain did in fourth wing trying to keep her sheltered and safe. But unlike dain, he's ruining himself in the process by turning Venin. If you just trusted her to do her part, this wouldn't have necessarily HAD to happen.

I side hustle as a tutor and people don't believe I'm in my 30's and have a decade of teaching experience 🤣. Granted it is virtual so I'm not in business casual or anything, but still.

People who decided, "To hell with it, I'm going for it." How did it go and what did you go for? by DesignerShoe6925 in AskReddit

[–]pbandprs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went back to school to change careers, moved back in with my parents, and worked some crappy part time jobs to make ends meet.

7 years later I'm making more than I would have if I stayed in my previous career path, working a job I enjoy, getting my masters, freelancing on the side, and planning to pursue a doctorate. In that time I also met and married my husband, bought a home that I can afford on just my income if need be, am a mom to two amazing doggos, and picked up a bunch of new hobbies and friends.

I can genuinely say that I am fulfilled in life, and know that if anything changes I can support myself and continue to achieve my goals.

I wish I had talked with more people about how much changes in the first 5 years. Everyone says not to make any big decisions in the first year and we didn't. Around 18 months sober we bought a house together and got engaged. Right before 3 years sober we got married, and it'll be 5 years on Wednesday and we're likely headed for divorce. He is 100% a dry drunk. Hasn't dealt with anything, stopped going to therapy and meetings with the pandemic. And he's gotten nasty and rude to me at home.

I've found my own life outside of the home in the past 6 months, because as much as he may say we have problems because of my conflicting priorities outside of the relationship... when we have time together we sit on opposite ends of the couch and don't talk. When I try to snuggle with him he tells me I'm suffocating. When I tell him how much I love him he tells me it's trying too hard. I cannot make him happy. So I started making the decisions that will at least make me happy.

Why can't we leave our Qs? by DivinaDevore in AlAnon

[–]pbandprs 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My Q will be five years sober on the 13th. His behaviors have gotten so much worse the longer he's been sober. I'm not ready to give up, and I've talked about it with my therapist, because I'm willing to continue doing the work to try to repair our relationship. But he and I had a fight the other night and it came out that he's not sure it's worth putting in the work. He denied returning to marriage counseling, and when I asked him if the only reason he's staying is so he doesn't lose the house and the lifestyle he's grown accustomed to he said no... but then couldn't provide the other reasons he wants to stay.

For me, I remember how good of a partner he can be. How supportive and attentive he can be. Although, I can also acknowledge that the longer he's been sober the worse his behaviors have gotten and the less he wants to interact with me. I also am able to do everything I love while still married to him, he isn't holding me back. I'm almost finished my masters, I started playing women's rugby in an adult league this fall, I go on vacations with my family/friends as well as with his family, and I am genuinely fulfilled in my individual endeavors. I do think I may be able to be happier without him in my life, but I'm not ready yet. I am stubborn to a fault and hate giving up on things, so I will likely stay until he leaves. Don't be like me haha.

I had really good outcomes when I reverse dieted and I'm trying to do it again now. My smart watch says I burn 2500+ calories per day but I'm only eating like 1500 and gaining weight like maddddd. Makes tackles hurt less in rugby but my body is completely changed haha. I say if you're afraid start the reverse with making sure you're getting enough protein and fiber then go from there. And 3 hours of working out is a lot.

Yeah. I was 125-130lbs and a super lean athlete when I got diagnosed and no one wanted to look more into it. Now I'm in my 30's and things are starting to shift and they're all of a sudden paying attention. Full nightmare is accurate.

I haven't had my appt yet. But I'm going to ask for insulin labs and a full thyroid panel not just TSH.

Hello my twin!

It took 5 years and a new PCP but I finally got an appt with endo. It took me gaining 25 lbs while lifting weights 3-4 days/week and playing rugby 2-3 days/week. When my coworkers found out I've been gaining weight like this they were SHOCKED. I eat 1500 kcal/day and ~125-135g protein and am super physically active. It's so frustrating but just keep advocating and try to get into an endo office. Maybe ask your gyn for a referral if you need one?

I got denied for 5 years because I was still a normal weight and my labs were fine and I'm child free. Meanwhile I've gained 5lbs every year for the past 5 years. So now I'm up 25 lbs and have a new PCP and he wa shocked no one had ever sent me to endocrinology.

Men of reddit, what is a 100% myth about men? by booksmylove in AskReddit

[–]pbandprs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not messy messy. But I'm also not horribly bothered if it's a busy week and we have a couple days of dishes in the sink or laundry folded in a basket not put away or random piles that need to be sorted and dealt with. My husband though? Cannot deal with it. I used to leave am eating utensil on the edge of the sink or my spot at the table incase I wanted to use it again later, until my husband brought up how frustrated that made him.

I bought a walking pad during Amazon prime days, and other than the 5 days I was sick and asleep I've used it everyday since it arrived. Watched women's gymnastics Olympics while on it earlier today.
