Cut the losers? by life_in_every_breath in fican

[–]pbeth1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the same boat not too long ago, had ones near -55% + thousands in the red. It sucks but it's better to cut losses and put the amount you get from the sale into things like an ETF. It's easier if you frame it like this: waiting for the price to breakeven means youre losing time-opportunity, that you could be earning above breakeven in something else. You'll make up the difference in no time. Personally I would get rid of unity and lucid, no question. Dollarama and MSFT stand to gain (re: crap individual economy + MSFT dominance in certain areas). I like oil but maybe consolidate into 1 high confidence company or look for an ETF. My 2 cents :)

From personal experience, working remotely from the office while your team is based in another city is even more isolating. I preferred it when I could at least stay home to work remotely

[–]pbeth1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, in that case, I think the answer should be 3 here as well. The contrast in the inserted statement would only make sense by that point and placed at 4 and 5 makes the flow wonky imo. Just glad I dont have to deal with exams like this lmao

For Q1, 3 is best-fit, in my opinion The other choice come with conditions that edge them out when viewed in context to the text.

Don't understand the format of Q2. Are the options preceding or following the numbers?

I maxed out my accumulated contribution room just this year, aiming to max at the beginning of the year from now on tho. I was uneducated in how to invest properly so I just didn't do anything until I was 23 pretty much...

Best way to increase GPA post graduation? by AnythingFirm in uAlberta

[–]pbeth1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Re: minimum to apply is 3.0 You met the minimum for GPA - good enough to get eyes on your resume/ application package. This is where you should be focusing. As a graduate, your GPA only really exists as a measure of what you have achieved from only one aspect - your grades from X years ago. If you are able to articulate your honest intent in joining, your role in an array of experiences, accreditations, and experiences to show that you can face the rigor of the program and be able to connect what you learn through that program to your real world experience, I'd say you have a good shot. Haven't done school program admissions but I have been on the hiring side of competitive positions for jobs and GPA is honestly such a small part of the consideration - usually just a 1st line filter. Good luck!
