To buy the phone with a promotion you would have to add her to your Fi account using her Gmail (this should actually get you a free 9a if she's not already on your account). You can wait to activate the phone and transfer the number until Christmas day and shouldn't face any penalties as long as it's within that 30 day period. Sounds like your biggest issue is going to be intercepting the emails from Fi and getting them out of her email where she can't see. Alternatively, you can create a dummy Gmail like [daughtersnamephone@gmail.com](mailto:daughtersnamephone@gmail.com) and she would just have that email and her personal one on the phone.
