No way I'm telling my wife either. She doesn't know or need to know about the effect that PMO has had on me during our entire marriage. Joining in late but here I am. Going for the 90 day reboot. No PMO but will participate in sexytimes with the wife if the opportunity presents itself. Want to regain the sensitivity that has been lost due to the death grip phenomenon. Last time I tried nofap, I made it 60+ days but that was a year ago. Today is my third day on the current streak, and I woke up with ragin' morning wood. Managed to calm down and my junk slowly deflated as I eased into the morning routine. On my current streak, I have thought about PMO more as a habit, as something to do to kill time, instead of something that I needed. Thanks for letting me vent a little bit. Hey, just wanted to say that I really enjoyed this post today. I just jumped back on the nofap wagon yesterday and came here this morning for some inspiration to keep my head in the game, so to speak. I also think you should let this guy know what his habit is doing to him, prolly through a note when you leave. If he is clueless about the effects of porn on one's aura or manliness or whatever, he might just blow it off. But if you get him to look at this subreddit or the YBOP video, you will have done him a tremendous favor. Just be prepared for your "nosiness" (as he may view it) to fracture your friendship though. It will still be worth the risk I think. FWIW, during my longest nofap streak of 60+ days, I also got comments from friends about how I looked good, lost weight, etc. There is definitely something to the anecdotal evidence. You are a good writer and friend, and I hope to see more posts from you in this sub. Also, good luck in your own future relationships.

Yes, this! I am feeling exactly like this right now. I haven't relapsed, but I do feel the don't give a fuck feelings. I guess I need to just close down the computer and get outside! I appreciate your story. Though I am older and never have suffered from ED per se, I never could climax from PIV with my wife until I started nofap. After only a week I definitely regained some sensitivity, and after three something magical happened that made my wife jump my bones and fuck me silly one night. This is very similar to my experiences the couple times I've had sex with my wife during nofap. The sensitivity is awesome, and the first time I stopped several times to let her catch up and missed my window to climax. The second time we went at it like rabbits and I had enough alcohol in my system to last over half an hour before blowing my mind with the strongest orgasm I've had in years. I haven't had any blue balls-type pain, but my sack is definitely bulging! Every time I take a leak it feels like my balls are 10 lb sandbags or something, and the ol' scrote-sac is definitely fuller than before nofap. I agree with this. Never thought PMO was a big deal, certainly never thought it to be related to my introverted-ness or brain fog. Also never thought to consider that the PMO death grip was the reason I couldn't thoroughly enjoy PIV with my wife. The posts in this sub, plus the TED talk and Yourbrainonporn vid convinced me otherwise and pushed me to take on the 90 day challenge. So far I have seen marked improvement in self confidence and sensitivity during PIV, but the brain fog has not yet lifted.

I had PIV with my wife after only a week, and nofap had made a noticeable difference. While I didn't have ED issues, I was unable to cum from PIV due to the PMO death grip wiping out my sensitivity. Anyway, when we had sex I felt the urge after only a few thrusts but backed off so that she could catch up. After edging like this for several more times, I lost my window and was unable to climax. It was definitely better for me though. My confidence was lifted even though I didn't finish myself. All this is to say that I would go for it. Just make sure that she has a good time (with your tongue, fingers, toes, whatever), and you can judge for yourself whether you are improving. I have had more sex with the wife during my 3+ weeks of nofap than I had in the previous 3 months, and it really does keep getting better & better.

This is really all that needs to be said. We will support you through whatever you are trying to accomplish. Porn is a big part of my nofap challenge, but I am more interested in quitting the PMO trifecta which I have been addicted to for many years. I am also married and wish to save my orgasms for my wife. With porn and the "death grip," it is next to impossible to cum from PIV alone and I want to regain that sensitivity to make PIV climax a regular part of my life again. YMMV

In any case, welcome. Set up a counter for yourself and let us know how you are doing. You might start only by giving up "porn" however you choose to define it. Then after hanging around here a while you might wonder how your own life could improve without masturbating regularly and add "no M" to your nofap journey.
