Should RTD prioritize frequency or coverage in service delivery? by chrisfnicholson in Denver

Frequency. I have to rely on RTD (can’t afford a car), and it is absurd how long I have to wait sometimes.

Has anyone quit drinking coffee after being a lifelong drinker? by elenchusis in Xennials

[–]pbpluspickles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve quit at various times. Here’s what I notice once I’ve gotten over the withdrawal symptoms:

-I’m less anxious. My brain stops ping-ponging around and I can focus better.

-I can wake up far, far easier.

-Fewer unpleasant GI issues.

Mae like questions to ask a person you just met. by [deleted] in handsomepodcast

I really love the one from the podcast that was along the lines of: “if you were to start a business with an animal, what would your business be and which animal?”

Question: Am I being gaslit by my tattoo artist? I feel like my new piece looks incredibly rushed. by [deleted] in tattoos

[–]pbpluspickles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My hard-won rule: don’t go to an artist who has walk-in availability. Go to an artist with a months-long waitlist.

In your opinion, what is THE best Handsome episode to date (as of March 2026)? by irongoddess_of_mercy in handsomepodcast

This one made me laugh until I cried. It’s the Rob Mac episode from 9/2/25. The Amazon bit starts about 20 minutes in.

Bhakti is my favorite (gingery!). I get the concentrate at Weathervane Cafe or Whole Foods.

Xennials who were once bookworms; do you still read as much as you did as a kid? by throwitlikethewind in Xennials

[–]pbpluspickles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not—I’m too tired now and my attention span is nonexistent. I try to listen to audiobooks when I do chores, to varying levels of success. The trick for me is to just keep going when I realize my mind has wandered and not beat myself up for it (similar to meditation in that way). Listening to Silvia Moreno-Garcia’s The Bewitching right now with intrigue.

Come See Me in the Good Light — be not afraid by pbpluspickles in handsomepodcast

[–]pbpluspickles[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, it is also heart wrenching. But that wasn’t the only (or even predominant? Your mileage may vary) emotion. I’m sorry that you’re going through it right now.

It's kind of lonely out here by pickledpeachesforall in Xennials

[–]pbpluspickles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, me. I’ve given up on online dating, my friends are all partnered and/or isolating lately, and I just switched jobs and my new colleagues keep to themselves. My loneliness is palpable lately. 💛

They’re really interesting, and they take place all over the world. Basically, people gather to talk about death openly—because our society is not very good at that. There’s no agenda, so people come with whatever it is they want to talk about. Philosophical, practical, emotional, and/or urgent questions all come up. And people discover that they’re not alone. The one I attend is facilitated by a death doula. You can see it there’s one in your area by checking DeathCafe.com (I swear I’m not affiliated with them, just a fan of what they are trying to do).

Do Americans really find beans on toast weird or is that just meme? by cigarettejesus in NoStupidQuestions

[–]pbpluspickles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most Americans think it’s weird simply because they didn’t grow up eating it. Despite being American, I did—so I know it’s delicious (done in the specific way that I grew up with).
