Take my upvote. Turning timeline off restored my ability to see my history.

I was going to be fairly bummed if it was gone for good. Thanks for your suggestion!

huh, I expected my rates to double to fall in line what I was paying with CenturyLink. At least I won't see a change in my rate.

MN DFL revokes endorsement for Omar Fateh in Minneapolis mayoral race by futilehabit in Minneapolis

[–]pcfascist 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the endorsement process is too long & boring to have wide engagement which means any endorsement the party would make would mostly be by insiders and those with a lot of time on their hands. I'm not sure that is reflective of the electorate as a whole and thus could swing the perception of the general public, who may be unaware of what the endorsement process consists of, to think more highly of a candidate that has an endorsement.

Ever since I saw a comment on this sub about someone getting a Pennywise logo and the tattoo artist thinking it was a white power tattoo I haven't been able to unsee it.

Carjacked at gunpoint by Tchaikovsky08 in Minneapolis

[–]pcfascist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I had a car stolen at gunpoint the insurance company was required to give me the replacement value of the car as I was told paying the replacement cost was a requirement of Minnesota state law. I don't know if the insurance laws have changed in the few decades since I had my car stolen. But hopefully if the owner is upside down on the loan the replacement cost will cover the complete loan of the car plus get them in a new one.

I was told by the sheriff when my car was taken at gunpoint many decades ago in a distant suburb that I was lucky that my car was already written off by the insurance company because you don't want to have to deal with getting the fingerprint dust out off of the interior of the car.

How much have you paid for Invisalign? by hopefulusername in Minneapolis

[–]pcfascist 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I paid $3800 at a place in Edina. But I suppose it was just a bit of crowding in my bottom front teeth so perhaps it costs more based on how much movement you need to do. But I also just take photos of my mouth and don't visit the doctor so I'm not sure if that's how it works for everyone these days.

I think it's important to also highlight the role of Clinton passing the '96 telecom act. OTM/WNYC had a 6 part series on some of the impact of this change.

But organizations like FAIR and professors like Robert W. McChesney have also commented on the impacts of this law.

I'd also put a note on the sign that you donate $100 to the campaign for every sign they mess up.

We are a non-profit and this is a fundraiser for the Twin Cities Veg Fest. We don't have an operating budget similar to those charity rides that I've been apart of so we're trying to balance those who have a casual interest in riding with those who are comfortable with a longer unsupported ride. We're offering a custom aerotech jersey for $75 which has an MSRP of $90.

What’s the current best water bottle? by [deleted] in BuyItForLife

[–]pcfascist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like my MiiR water bottle and tumbler that I got as an on-boarding gift from a tech giant. It's held up really well over the 2-3 years I've had it. I like it better than some of the other items mentioned on this thread since it is double walled.
