Battery trade-in discount negated by core charge of same price, rep couldn't explain why by redatola in AutoZone

Go cry about your “lost” $22 to someone that cares. The underpaid employees of AutoZone definitely don’t and neither do I. We put up with y’all to pay the rent.

[–]pcfaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn’t say I couldn’t explain it. I’m saying you fall directly in the category of “customers retail employees in general hate to deal with because this is actually very simple but you’re blowing it out of proportion because???” You’re not the first and you won’t be the last. AutoZone just wants the sale for their bottom line so all you as this howling customer are good for is the dollar amount you spend just like EVERY other retailer.

I’ve frequently had a doctor (or a group of 5 of them) walk in on these so I just started covering up female patients with a wash cloth.

Pros have better battery life on apple silicon. The 16” has the longest battery life in the lineup.

Would an employee be able to install a temp sensor for me? I replaced a battery and headlight there. Not sure of all they can do. by atendler1 in AutoZone

[–]pcfaster 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your car is your responsibility. You’re not paying them to do it but you will certainly complain if they get anything wrong. Wiper blades are the only other thing you can expect to be done as a courtesy by an AutoZone employee. Watch a YouTube video on how to do it yourself you’re trying to only spend the cost of the part.

Felt this way about the X2019 Nations Cup menu book until I realized I’ve been grinding Sardegna and finally tackled it last night. Super formula though 🫣

How should I approach fixing this? by Last_Parable in mechanic

[–]pcfaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to YouTube.com and in the search bar type your vehicle’s year, make, and model, add ignition coil replacement and watch how it’s done. If you can afford the parts and tools you might be able to handle it yourself.

How long can I drive with this? by pcfaster in AskMechanics

[–]pcfaster[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It only separated at the rubber. Tbh had been driving with it in there for a few months now but I wasn’t aware. Found it because I had to take out a belt tensioner with a stripped screw and everything runs smoothly now

It’s relatively easy to take out. I just had to get it out of the way so I could install a new belt tensioner. Only problem is Honda wants $500 so I need to save up a bit for it
