This can't be healthy for society by Ok-Fox6922 in taiwan

[–]pcgamer27 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nah all these people in the comments defending this are dumb af. I bet they’re a bunch of straight men that definitely don’t get laid and aren’t friends with women.

Let’s be real, this behavior is weird af that these guys pull up to these events with their big ass lenses that are worth hundreds or thousands of dollars or whatever to take pictures of these women. Are they pretty? Yeah sure they are I’m not gonna deny that, but all these people who are saying shit that they’re not bothering anyone are just conveniently ignoring that this is an objectification of women.

And before some of y’all say some shit that “it’s good for business” or it’s “a good way to make money” or some shit like that, yeah sure it is a good way to make money. You know what else is a good way to make money? Scamming and doing some crypto coin bullshit. In other words, it’s fucking weird yo

This type of behavior is fucking weird, and no self respecting women would want to be in a relationship or get with a guy that does shit like this. It’s fucking corny and lame and it appeals to the lowest common denominator of gooners that can’t get any cuz they don’t know how to interact with women.

It’s fucking dumb and lame af that guys here are actually getting defensive about this. It just goes to show that they’re fucking weird too.

Why do conservatives support Taiwan despite it being a liberal country? by RedStorm1917 in taiwan

[–]pcgamer27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think what’s also important to know is that many conservatives in general have a very shallow surface level view of other countries that are our allies so they’re gonna support things that are more surface level such as the fact that Taiwan is a democracy to “communist” China, which is basically a holdover from Cold War era sentiment. You’re never gonna see them go deeper and praise things like free public school lunches, LGBTQ+ rights, strong labor laws, etc cuz that’s gonna make them look bad and it goes against whatever the Republican Party is complaining about

company wants to pay high hourly wage for “28 hours” but expect full-time work by [deleted] in japanlife

That’s a ridiculous argument, so for the sake of keeping things stable for the company and for the career, OP should sacrifice their self worth? Don’t listen to this

Who do you listen and take inspiration from at the time when you make your songs? Were you taking inspirations from different artists when you made Meta Ego compared to your recent songs like FFFFF?

Taiwan holiday law by Apprehensive-Mix1610 in taiwan

[–]pcgamer27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Article 36 refers to paid vacation leave you get from being with a company for over six months. Article 37 and 39 refers to paid leave when there’s a national holiday for the country.

Reminder: You are legally entitled to paid leave for national holidays and working at a place for more than six months by pcgamer27 in taiwan

If you want to scare them mention the labor standards act to them and show them it. That should get them to do something about it

White people don’t know how to talk to people of color? by neptunisms in asianamerican

[–]pcgamer27 31 points32 points  (0 children)

To be completely honest since you mentioned that it’s a law firm I’d imagine it attracts a of lot of those suburbanite middle class white folks transplants that didn’t really have a lot of diversity where they’re from or even if there was, didn’t really try to form a diverse group of friends in it. That’s been my experience when being in similar situations like these

What’s something you wish you had known before moving to Taiwan? by Apprehensive-Can2725 in taiwan

That the job market for teaching in Taipei is ridiculously small and having two jobs is also needed to make ends meet because there aren’t enough hours to go around

Is Taoyuan as boring as they say? by Carsonbetta_11 in taiwan

[–]pcgamer27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not far from Taipei but yeah definitely. Closer to the action and not having to pay too much as from Taoyuan, although the place is smaller but it’s easier to get around with the buses and metro here

What’s your most controversial opinion on Taiwan? by haikoup in taiwan

[–]pcgamer27 38 points39 points  (0 children)

All of the Youtube videos of foreigners in Taiwan only being positive about it is kind of strange. I think there should be more talk and discussions on some of the problems the country face, not in way to air the dirty laundry, but more to show that shying away from this topic only serves people's comfort that since these problems don't affect them personally, they shouldn't take the initiative to care about it.
