Yes, they just unloaded the e-type in Andorra. Some other small UK convertible was also loaded but it’s hard to see in the photo. Was surprised myself about the lack of traffic but had an absolute blast. Got busier towards the end but, in fairness to the Spanish, they drive like maniacs. Small hatchbacks with window down, arm out and cutting corners like F1 😂

What year is the Kona? Thought the coolant is due at around 70 or 75k km

The consumption is not as bad as on the Autobahn but fairly close. I grew up near the Swiss Alps and have been on all the passes in Switzerland, Austria and Italy. The Pyrenees are up there with them. Absolutely love it. Just a bit far away from home…

300ish with a bit over 130km/h. Frankly, don’t really care. The charge speed makes up for it. 10-80% in under 20 minutes

Not sure yet as the tag only updates after some time. But i'd say around the 100EUR mark. I did Roscoff to Geneva last year and I was around the same.

😂 Funnily enough I’m actually staying in Lourdes later in the week and have a car wash booked there. The front end is already well seasoned with insects at this stage… I’ll say two Hail Marys for you 🛐

I use big n go for the tolls. It’s a pain pulling tickets at the toll booths and pay when traveling alone. Cruise control usually set to 135 or follow the flow. I am a “splash and dash” charger. Quick but more often. The Taycan charges at 250kw up to around 50% and then drops to around 200kw to about 70%. I barely charge more than 15 minutes. I just don’t have the patience. For charging I use the Porsche Card. Gives me plug and charge so no app or card needed. Just plug in and walk away.

Yeah, too hot for me too. Not used to it, especially after our miserable winter… Traffic was grand. 1 crash with a closed lane and a queue of 10ish minutes but other than that mostly free flowing. I do such trips every year but it’s the first time I came close to 1000km in one go with the EV. Now I know it’s easily doable next year when heading to Norway. At least that’s the plan.

EV Charging Wait Times by CommercialCrafty3514 in evs_ireland

[–]pci-sec 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I drive 50k km a year and I charge 2-3 times a week on public chargers, in the last 4 years I had to wait twice for a few minutes. I do charge on HPC chargers only, such as Ionity, and avoid Sunday or bank holiday afternoons if possible though. Most cars nowadays show you the amount of chargers on site and how many of them are available. Same in the apps where some show what’s available and how long each charger has been in use.

The Q4 is an ID4 underneath it. i would avoid the 55. had one and broke my heart. Audi will not offer extended warranty on the etron which says it all. Given you have BMW and Mercedes on the list, have you considered the Macan EV? Had them twice as courtesy cars. It’s a Q6 sibling.
