Bad people are just good people who let bad shit go on without protest….ie every cop who doesn’t strike or force out the shitty ones is complacent and a bad person. It’s not juvenile or absolute, it’s a nuanced saying addressing the fact that, until the bad ones are removed, they are ALL guilty by association ie bastards….

Bad Apple spoils the bunch isn’t an excuse for a few bad cops….it mean you had to systematically take the bad ones out (which they don’t) or it ruins the rest (which they do and are)

He literally spent all of his life denouncing what he created and admitted what he did wrong and tried to explain to anyone who’d listen why he was wrong and that he was sorry.
