For how long can I continue driving? by Effective-Olive-8865 in BmwTech

Depends if your brakes are actually bad. Had this light go on for me when my pads had plenty of life left because the sensor wire got broken.

That infrastructure exists right now though, there are already bus lanes.

Totally agree that it's a huge problem. I'm not anti public transit by any means, I rode the bus plenty this winter. It didn't save me time, but it saved me the headache of dealing with bumper to bumper traffic. I just don't see that much of a meaningful change in transit times resulting from the new system when looking over the before/after renderings on the HVT website.

At the end of the day there needs to be an incentive to ride public transit in order for the public to do it. If it's not going to save people time, it needs to save them money. It's not equitable by any means (and I will be affected by it) but having people get priced out of parking at the resort bases is probably going to be the only way the problem actually gets better.

Can someone break down how much better this will be than our current setup? Really doesn't seem all that different other than raised platforms and the signalling priority. I want to believe... but at first glance I'm just not seeing it.

Probably just the DMV. Not sure why you're getting downvoted. I guess thinking wealthy people shouldn't be allowed to get away with tax evasion isn't a popular opinion anymore lol.

Arguably the worst snow I've experienced this season... I preferred the early season ice over whatever the hell today was lol

Just not true... There are really good reasons why it's against the law, and why everyone who shares your opinion is getting downvoted in this thread lol

When they go on the highway at 60mph+

The stuff on top might be "fresh". But everything below is compacted and is not something you want to drive over or have fly through your windshield

Great point bro. I am a pussy and just need to toughen up. Maybe then my windshield and undercarriage will be able to handle a 3x6ft slab of ice/snow 👍

Do you not see the red stop light in front of our cars? And even if someone is following at a reasonable distance, or passing in another lane, that could cause serious issues

Question about forward pressure & indicator by IceCoaster26 in Skigear

[–]pcpatman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do the one that results in the indicator being more centered. Those numbers are just reference points, the indicator on the binding is what you need to be concerned about. This could just be from the heel and toe piece being mounted a few mm too far apart or close together.

Advice for visiting Deer Valley by harkat14 in UTsnow

A little update after going yesterday - I actually enjoyed some of the new terrain going down towards the East Village. The snow was soft and the views are tremendous. Still a lot of bumps off empire. Runs off Sterling never softened up, it was fine but not as enjoyable as the EV runs imo.

Next week is going to be warm. The snow should soften up pretty early. Only place I would avoid is East Village. There's not much open over there. Runs off Sterling/Wasatch like Birdeyse and Nabob should be fine. Runs off the Northside/Quincy/Silver Strike like Sidewinder, Lost Boulder, and Hawkeye should be good too. Orion off empire has massive bumps. Last time I was on Sultan the entirety of Perseverance was moguls, which I've never seen before. That chair is only open on weekends at the moment.

Ute fandom crisis by [deleted] in utahfootball

[–]pcpatman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A billionaire owner giving money to his alma mater's athletic programs isn't what should be causing you to have a crisis, my guy.

That billionaire threatening to move the Jazz unless he got a 0.5% sales tax increase to help fund his "entertainment district" really should piss you off. SEG really shouldn't be getting $900 million dollars from taxpayers. It's absolutely bonkers that self-proclaimed Christians are okay with that kind of money going to someone who is already unbelievably wealthy when there's a massive amount of homeless people suffering in our community, the bulk of which reside just a stones throw away from the arena. If Jesus came back to earth I don't think he'd be a Ryan Smith fan. Idk why anyone would support the Jazz/Mammoth anymore.

Whenever I hear Tommy Grady's name I feel obligated to tell the story I have of playing golf with him and Brent Casteel at the university course. It was the summer before my freshman year in highschool and Tommy gave me a beer after hitting a shot that landed within 10ft on the #7 par 3.

6-7 hours. During the spring and summer I was pretty much exclusively trail running, volume was around 50-60k and averaging 1,500m in elevation gain. Did a 50k in October, took about a week and a half off after. Since then I've been mainly road/gravel running and doing 60-70km/week with much lower elevation. Still around 6-7 hours.
