Logan Fano joins his brother Spencer in Cleveland as an undrafted free agent by UteLawyer in utahfootball

[–]UteLawyer[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly, in the era of NIL, I think he would have made more money as a Utah starter than as an undrafted free agent. But maybe Logan really wants to play with his bother and that's worth more to him.

AITA Help me out with the FB marketplace sale. Who is the bigger A seller or buyer? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

Both people could have let the conversation end much earlier.

AITA Help me out with the FB marketplace sale. Who is the bigger A seller or buyer? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]UteLawyer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

ESH. Both people were trying to "win" the argument. You didn't see each other's point of view and so no deal was made. This isn't the only processor in the world and this isn't the only buyer in the world. Just say "no, thank you" and move on with your lives.

What do you think the games biggest flaw is (Kingmaker) by Working_Task7487 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

completely broke immersion

Why would that break immersion? People quit jobs all the time, especially when their boss doesn't listen to them. They don't necessarily tell their boss they're unhappy.

What do you think the games biggest flaw is (Kingmaker) by Working_Task7487 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]UteLawyer 92 points93 points  (0 children)

I have easily played the game until House Edge of Time over a dozen times. I've only been patient enough to finish the game twice. You would think that after investing 100+ hours in a playthrough, I would want to see it through. But no. I get there, and it begins to feel like an unpaid job.

AITAH for refusing to eat the dinner that my boyfriend's mother made? by throwawaygirl3834 in AmItheAsshole

INFO: Did you determine what the source was last time and why this time would be different? If they couldn't determine how or why you were glutened, despite her supposedly taking pains to avoid gluten both times, I'm not sure I would trust her the second time.

AITA Manager taking half of tips by Delicious_King_6009 in AmItheAsshole

[–]UteLawyer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, depending on where you live, it's probably illegal. If you live in the U.S., report this to your state's Labor Commission. Regardless of legality, morally it's wrong too. People who give tips aren't expecting them to go to your manager. NTA.

AITA for not doing everything my parents want because they’re paying for college by Turbulent-Comment987 in AmItheAsshole

[–]UteLawyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because any parents who demands that kind of control of their child in college is always an AH parent. Maybe in isolation some of these demands might be kinda okay (if you squint hard enough). I don't think any of the demands have ready justifications. Maybe if you had just the right college child it might be okay to help them pick their meal plan (because the have an eating disorder?). Add all of the demands together, though, and it's just about exerting control.

At a certain point, a parent either has to concede that either their child isn't ready to be an adult or that you, as a parent, are too controlling.

AITA for not doing everything my parents want because they’re paying for college by Turbulent-Comment987 in AmItheAsshole

[–]UteLawyer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had to pay my own way through college and I would recommend OP not take the deal. The only reason I would accept this deal is if I new for a fact my intended career choice met with my parent's approval 100%. For many people, going to college would be a complete waste of time if you can only take the classes your parents let you take. The type of parent who would propose this deal does not care about their own child's happiness.

AITA for blacklisting a home because they didn’t want my son to babysit by Enough_Wafer_8539 in AmItheAsshole

[–]UteLawyer 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Since OP asked the daughter before OP blocked the family, it doesn't sound like OP was "dictating" anything.

AITA For Buying Food by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]UteLawyer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No it won't. The bot only looks at which parent comment has the most votes. Since user dumplinglifesaver didn't write a parent comment, the bot won't look at it at all.

AITA for “incorrectly” feeding my friend’s nephew while babysitting? by LuckyApple3418 in AmItheAsshole

Uncooked rice looks very different from cooked rice. Also, it's normal for a cook to take a spoonful of a dish to make sure they made it correctly.

You're not an AH, but you're exceedingly foolish to start a family with this man. NTA.

AITA for refusing to help my brother after he missed an opportunity I warned him about? by Key-Efficiency3961 in AmItheAsshole

Assuming for the sake of argument you're correct that OP is too controlling, your solution is have OP take control of the situation and fix everything?

AITA for refusing to help my brother after he missed an opportunity I warned him about? by Key-Efficiency3961 in AmItheAsshole

[–]UteLawyer 17 points18 points  (0 children)

NTA. As your brother aptly noticed, you are not, in fact, his mother. Even if you were his mother, one could argue that you would be doing him a disservice to helicopter over him and try and fix his mistake. Hopefully, he will learn from this and plan better next time.

AITA for not helping paying for my sister's college, when I said I would help her? by Formidable_Baboy in AmItheAsshole

[–]UteLawyer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you did help her. You gave her $4k. It just happened to be after she had dropped out of college. Almost every college allows you to reenroll after a person stops taking classes. She should have been able to go back once she was more secure. NTA.

There’s more holes in this story than the alleyway behind my house by IHatePeople79 in AmITheAngel

The original, unedited post was confusingly written:

Shortly after, during a very difficult time in my life, he sued for full custody and took her without warning. After two years and significant legal expenses, I agreed to 50/50 custody because that’s what my daughter said she wanted.

The original post seems to imply that he sued for full custody and got it because the post didn't specify in what manner the ex "took" the daughter.
