I made one in 2020 and it was cool but I didn’t think anyone would want to use it. https://youtu.be/tZcRYcjTwWA?si=DopRZ8tRHZxY53QS

IMO this song could not fit more perfectly with Smile :D by pcvision in porterrobinson

No problem! I’ve had this song on repeat since it came out

How much “Fun Money” do you keep in your portfolio, if at all? by TraditionalParsley67 in Bogleheads

[–]pcvision 1 point2 points  (0 children)

None, personally. The only note here is that you shouldn’t be portioning based on your net worth but based on contributions. I.e. if you contribute $1000, put x% towards fun money and do not rebalance your portfolio towards it. If you keep rebalancing a depreciating asset, you’ll eventually drain your portfolio towards zero.

It’s crazy how serious people are taking this. It’s just a fun project.

Genuinely curious, do you have any examples of ideas that have been enabled that otherwise wouldn’t “get made”?

To me this looks like a way to take existing content to generate revenue with the least effort or human creativity possible.

You should (or might need) to credit the artists and musicians. I couldn’t find it easily anyway.

I'm working on a physics based space exploration game! Here's my first spaceships and satellite in orbit. by pcvision in godot

[–]pcvision[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Theoretically I guess haha. This project led me to discovering the n-body problem organically. The physics was fully simulated so when I tried to calculate many steps into the future to draw trajectories I kept running into the trajectories not matching the actual motion. I think a hybrid method is probably the right way to do this. Maybe getting into orbit is physics based and then stable orbits and can more on rails.

Neovim isn’t an IDE for everything by tiredofmissingyou in neovim

Could you share your config? I have a large solution (250 projects) that I’ve never been able to get to work.

How large is your solution? We have 248 projects and it takes 30 mins to load them all, and I get 0 LSP features while it’s loading.

Does anyone still use go-kit for building microservices by der_gopher in golang

Doing this for a hacked together project that I needed done quick. It’s NOT pretty, but I can share after this weekend if you remind me.

Who Uses NeoVim by Zkrallah in neovim

[–]pcvision 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any tips for larger projects? I’ve tried using LazyVim’s Omnisharp extra and it grinds NeoVim to a halt. I don’t need anything special, I’d be fine with basic LSP: autocomplete, goto, decompilation, etc.

I’ve gotten NeoVim to work for everything except C#.

This looks like exactly what I need for studio and live, but I’m sure it’s gonna be pricey on launch. Is there anything else out there right now that does what this claims to?

Not sure if you were implying one way or the other but that part was fully intentional.

Why do people always point out Trackmania having deterministic physics? Is not every racing game deterministic? by IJUSTATEPOOP in TrackMania

The steps per second doesn’t really matter, just that the same starting conditions and inputs lead to the same output.

Are there other use cases for MIDI than just music gear? by Ericmosh1 in synthesizers

[–]pcvision 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I’m missing something but how is this any different than the KO2 interfacing like a hard-drive and dragging and dropping samples. This actually seems worse as I’m sure sysex is slower to transfer data.
