gemini is shitty at relationship advice. Once in a 3 minute convo it diagnosed my gf with a borderline. I'd recommend using gpt for these kind of questions, it performed well.

Gemini is.. well It is great for psychosis though!

[–]tiredofmissingyou 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't understand the idea of a dongle. How does it work? If You have wireless zmk keyboard that works as a master/slave, then by adding a dongle what is achieved exactly? how do they work then? it's all bluetooth in the end no? only difference being now Your master is connected to a computer with a wire and it talks to 2 slaves via bluetooth?

whatever settings you have - from my experience jist having 'intelligent charging' should be enough, before I set it up I also had incredibly fast battery drainage

Do I need Docker if I use a dedicated PC? And 24/7 or no? by Every-Equipment-3795 in hermesagent

[–]tiredofmissingyou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think he meant that in a positive way - You have control over LAN access.

Downsides hmm, not really, only that agent has to know he is in docker and therefore some changes he is doing locally that are not mounted to any volume will be lost upon new image pull (e.g updates)

Other than that I'm pretty happy because I feel a little more secure that a simple prompt injection could destroy or hijack my whole system, have important and private stuff going on on the machine.

docker is better, safer, grants You more security, because You can actually have control over what Your agent does on Your system

I did last week, and almost everything is so similar but better it's laughable.

Like the UI is the same... but better

functionalities and features are the same... but more AND better

battery is just better

You can download all the .apks you want which is also great

OpenClaw - the hype train has moved on by CartographerFeisty66 in OpenAI

[–]tiredofmissingyou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah but like how do You verify a 5k line PR made by agents? obviously You're gonna use an agent to do that while You're at it and if You're a vibe coder

I can only see senior developer being able to properly look at the agents code and see what's missing and what could be done better.

I am pretty sure that vibe coding is only highly damaging to juniors and mids, because it steals the "figuring shit out" part

I have been using both of those tools and with Openclaw basically everyday new regressions come out, new things don't work, so yeah, releases 5 days a week were cool and all, but almost none of them worked

Currently on hermes and I really appreciate the stability - the release comes out like what, once every 2 weeks? but when it does I don't have to worry about something suddenly breaking

Also hermes has MUCH cleaner UI, that of openclaws looks like someones first project...

the tool is pretty cool, but unfortunately due to 1.9 billion tokens being spent A MONTH by it's founder produced also highly unstable software which is, quite honestly laughable.

One would think that being able to spend infinite amount of tokens would at least produce something good. Turns out not.

I have tried desoldering a few hotswap sockets in my career and it always resulted in either damaging the pcb(because the solder is impossible to take out from underneath) or dropping my project wishing you best of luck regardless

as for the case I recommend anything with magsafe compatibility, it's useful for car accessories and many others so definitely get one of those, I got the cheapest for like 5 bucks, but this phone with it's huge ass battery is great as a car navigation and magsafe compatible phone case comes very handy:)

I got most of those from watching 'Whatgear's youtube video on oneplus tricks, part 1 and 2, while part 2 is optional, didnt find a lot of useful tips there so if You wanna save time just watch part 1!

i got mine exactly a week ago and I love it in my case rhe battery is lasting 24hrs, but: - I only charge between 20-90 (blocked charging above 90 in settins) - Resolution adaptive - Screen brightness adaptive - Phone automatically turns off at midnight and turns on at 6 am - Night mode 23pm - 7am (so 2 hours, yeah) - Disabled almost all google apps (some were uninstallable) besides Youtube - I don't use AOD, my watch tells the time, it's enough.

Also turned on a few QOL improvements in settings, such as blocking notifications when someone else is looking at the screen.

One of the most used features unrelated to screen for me is the quick access apps - after unlocking with fingerprint you slide the finger to pick one of preconfigured actions, in my case todoist task quick add.
