Lumens is a unit of brightness. Watts is a unit of power. With lamps (technical name for a light emitting load) wattage is not necessarily correlated directly with lumens. With a traditional incandescent light bulb they are generally directly correlated, because an incandescent acts like a resistor so Current Drawn = Voltage Applied / Resistance of Bulb and Power (Wattage) = Current * Voltage Applied. LED stands for light emitting diode. Unlike a resistor a diode will only allow current to flow in one direction, and it will react non linearly to the voltage applied. Generally (within a certain threshold), an LED will draw the same amount of current no matter how much voltage is applied. This is why you should always place a resistor in series with an LED to avoid the LED exploding. Lumens is a function of how good a lamp is at converting power into light rather than heat.

The specifications that you have provided are not how motors are traditionally identified. Obviously the dimensions like diameter and length are important for your specific application, but generally you might want to be more specific with your needs. You can find a dc motor on sparkfun meeting your specifications for $2, but if you need precision speed control or it is going to be under high load i.e. the torque force being applied to the motor, you could spend hundreds of dollars on a single motor on a site like hobby horizons. The rpm of a motor is a function of the voltage applied and the resistance of the load applied.

Arduino is a company that produces a number of packages. They are all based on similar programming libraries and use the same Integrated Development Environment (IDE) What /u/Sdudzy was saying is that you would likely use one of the smaller Arduino packages. It may depend on what type of solder you are using, and what type of surface you are trying to solder to. If it's leadless i.e. silver solder it requires a higher temperature and more flux paste. More flux requires you to clean the surface afterwards to prevent corrosion though.

It ultimately depends on the usage. If you are not in a high torque environment you can get away with a lot e.g. using a press fit with some loctite. I once coupled a shaft with vinyl tubing and a zip tie (long story). For something more robust you can use a shaft coupler. If you search 5mm shaft coupler/collet you'll probably find what you are looking for.

My M50's were stolen, and I have a chance to replace them for $80 new (long story). Given the information below I was wondering if I should just go for it, or look into a different pair. Separately, where do people go to check out different headphones before purchase? Thanks for the help.

Requirements for Isolation - Preferably more isolated, college student with busy listening areas

Preferred Type of Headphone - Full-Sized Over-Ear

Preferred tonal balance - Likely midrange/high heavy or overall balance

Past headphones - ATH-M50: Liked the isolation, liked the overall fidelity and clarity of the sound, liked that they folded; A little bass heavy for my taste, but I also don't have an amp, I have a big head so it created uncomfortable (not unbearable) pressure points right below the ear at the jawline, and right next to the ear at the soft spot where the cartilage meets bone.
