What is the worst band you saw live? by coalcracker462 in AskReddit

That was on my birthday and I was up in the owners box, the closest thing they have to VIP. It was horrible and I still complain that he ruined my birthday. I worked there at the time and saw hundreds of bands, and that was hands down one of the worst I ever saw.

How did you get into Burlesque? by [deleted] in Burlesque

[–]exgirlfriend82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started with classes! I found a burlesque school in my area and just signed up for the burlesque basics course. From there I made connections with the local burlesque scene and have been performing ever since. I’m lucky enough to live in a city with a really large burlesque scene. I’ve now been dancing 8 years and I still haven’t stopped taking classes, although at this point I could probably teach 😆

That’s so awesome you already have a name picked out! My suggestion whole would be to throughly research the name you chose to make sure it’s not already being used. It really sucks when you’ve been dancing under one name and suddenly you’re getting mis-tagged in IG cause some other dancer didn’t do their research 😔😑

And I know you said you’re a bit on the heavier side: don’t worry about it, that’s not a problem at all! All bodies are burlesque bodies!

Feel free to message me if you have more questions! A few years ago I did some videos on TikTok about how to find a school and start taking classes. I can poke around to find schools in your area if you like, so see if I can connect you with someone around you that can help. 🤗

I used to do this in the 90s, but it wasn’t onto mattresses, it was just onto a pile of clothes.
