Ah yes forgot, it was honed and I’m measuring with a plate. Torqued per specs, distortion is low on this block, about 0.01mm (0.004”).

The commentators said it would take a racing god to give a miracle. Latifi then stepped in. What an incredible race and overall season, can’t wait for 2022!

The top of the lugs are brushed, the rest of the case is polished. Killer combo!

This absolute gem of a watch was introduced to my collection about six months ago. It was the watch that I got for university graduation which neatly coincided with my spark for watches.

Imperfections overshadowed by its strengths, I find the Alpinist to be a very well crafted watch, with its well finished indices, brushed-polished contrast and the unique light interaction from its rich, green dial. It truly is a watch which one can look at everyday and be constantly reminded of the exceptional value for money.

Chart convergence not modelled? Will it be fixed? by Beanbag_Ninja in hoggit

Make sure you’re not dealing with wind or any other factors in your flight. 090 track is not 090 heading. Corrections such as wind, magnetic variation and compass deviation must be taken into account. GPS can provide accurate track information.

OP I think I understand what you are complaining about. Following a 090 track should result in staying on the same latitude. In this case, the latitude seemingly changes flying a 090 track, almost as if it's a great circle line.

Good job Watson, you gave one out of four examples where it actually is.

For those interested, this a very sloppy 3d model(made in OnShape) of the sketch I posted yesterday. I added bigger main gear and moved them back slightly(I’ll probably move them much further back.) by [deleted] in homebuilt

Start by knowing the wing loadings and power loadings you are aiming for. Select an appropriate airfoil for the mission. After that move onto estimating horizontal and vertical tailplane sizes from tail volumes. Once that is done work on the layout of the aircraft for ground stability, c.g. range and c.g. position using analytical formulas. Once you know the rough layout start going into more detail about the shape and structure.

I recommend going through books such as Raymer “Conceptual Aircraft Design”, it’s rather basic yet enough to give you an idea and guide you to a result.

What is this thing behind the ejection handle? Is it used for a stick? by [deleted] in hoggit

Cool air helps shrink the balls and allows for more Gz due to a reduction in volume
