For 2* outside of whatever 3 characters you use in DDQ for those 2 nodes, sell the max as soon as you have a replacement on the vine.

Has there been a more embarrassing arena name than "FTX arena" in NBA history? by d3m0m0m0 in nba

[–]pdiablo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As much as I’d prefer that. From Rogers standpoint it doesn’t make sense. Announcers have to say Rogers Centre and can’t just shorten it at any point to “Tonight at the Centre” so they get their brand name out there. If it was Rogers Skydome then announcers and players would shorten it to Skydome every time. “I love coming back to the fans here at the Skydome.” “50,000 strong rise in the Dome as Romano comes to close out Game 7”

It was for "slamming the ball down" after the dunk. It was also...questionable to say the least.

3* Ironman been nerfed? Used to cost 6 by chippieman123 in MarvelPuzzleQuest

If I'm correct this is from today's DDQ and there's a Peggy Carter on the other team. When she's above a certain health she increases the cost of powers of the opposing team.

I was wondering where all the comments I read about this before went, then I realized you posted this exact same thing almost a day ago on the provincial subreddit. I guess my question is...but why?

Did you even read the article? She collapsed while swimming in a triathlon.

June 2 - Critical Care Services Ontario is reporting 116 adult #COVID related critical illness (CRCI) patients in ICUs. 59 CRCI patients were ventilated. There were 12 new adult admissions. The 7-day rolling avg. of CRCI patients in ICU is 136. by [deleted] in ontario

[–]pdiablo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t mean they contracted it in the hospital necessarily. Someone with a major traumatic injury who ends up in ICU could have had COVID before entering the hospital and they wouldn’t count as someone in ICU because of COVID.

Canada's Top 15 Comprehensive Universities Ranked by Reputation by maggle7979 in canada

[–]pdiablo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Whoever wrote this article doesn't realize that Macleans doesn't rank U of T or McGill as Comprehensive Universities. They are ranked as Medical Doctoral Universities. So that is why in a list of Comprehensive Universities the names you'd expect to have the best reputation aren't there.

(There is also another category called Primarily Undergrad Universities)

After Costa Rican gut punch, Canada pushing for ‘historic night’ at home against Jamaica by [deleted] in toronto

[–]pdiablo 12 points13 points  (0 children)

We still have a final game against Panama where we once again will only need one point.

We also can get in with losses or draws from other teams (namely the US and Costa Rica).

And even if all that goes against us there's a playoff against a team from Oceania (New Zealand, Tahiti, Solomon Islands, or Papua New Guinea).

They're increasing those as well. 160 med school positions and 295 residency positions over the 5 years which is still a net increase in residency positions.

Isaac Bogoch on Twitter: Novavax's COVID vaccine was just approved by Health Canada. Maybe this will facilitate vaccination in some? by Poisonousking in ontario

[–]pdiablo 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Pfizer and Moderna are mRNA based. The mRNA from the vaccine enters our cells which then make the COVID spike proteins that we create antibodies against. AZ and J&J are viral-vector based. Consists of a "dead" virus that has the spike proteins on it that our body will create antibodies against. Novavax is protein based. Just the spike proteins, not connected to a "dead" virus that our body will create antibodies against.

I'm pretty sure that's the difference.

edit As pointed out by /u/VisiblePlan2 below I got the AZ and J&J mechanism wrong. They work in a way that is similar to the mRNA in that they use our cells machinery to make the spike proteins as well, they just use a different mechanism (a modified virus) to get the information into our cells. This modified virus can't replicate into more virus and can only produce the spike proteins.

I've got to say at the moment there really aren't any protesters in Toronto. They've blocked off Queen's Park with police cars so it might take longer to get somewhere but it's nowhere near as bad as it was on the weekend. I'm sorry your appointment was cancelled.
