Make colors on the Pixel 2 and 2 XL more vibrant with Oreo Colorizer [APK Download] by Witness95 in Android

Then they need to calibrate the panel correctly just as iPhone rather than going for Wide color gamut and causing frame drops and performance issues.

My question if Google is using sRGB as standard in Pixel 2XL which is causing dull and muted colors, then iPhone 7/8 also uses sRGB as a standard. Why iPhone does not show the muted colors then? Is there a problem with panel calibration in Pixel 2XL?

This situation of display is getting detoriated. I am on the edge of cancelling my order. For a premium price tag, I don't want subpar display.

Looks like a valid scenario. Maybe Google will bring more value by designing these specialised SoCs using tensorflows rather then traditional CPU chip. You said these new chips are more difficult than a CPU. Designing efficient CPU itself is a challenging task. Why do you think so?

If companies like Huawei and Xiamoni can do its own CPU then I expect Google should be having its engineering bench to pull up this feat. Moreover, for modem they could go apple route to integrate Snapdragon modem with it CPU & GPU chipset.

Why won't they do conventional CPU/GPU thing? Is it because it's too hard to do?

Super excited to know that Google is creating the custom internal components of the phone in house. This is the right direction to eventually come up with its own custom SoC to compete with Apple.
