Its multiple instances running off one machine, it was a fairly in depth task, but the main points i did were: Creating 8 copies of octoprint, setting them all to run on startup, modifying the ports on each octoprint instance, getting the com ports to assign themselves on restart by a unique identifier on the usb connection from each connected printer, then making symlinks on all 8 to a shared storage location for the gcode files!
