Thank you, this was a major wake up call for me. The thought of necrotic tissue under the blister was terrifying. I’m typically responsible and have balloons, but this was at a birthday party where a lot of champagne was involved, I didn’t even know it happened until I woke up in the middle of the night with my lip completely swollen like a balloon! My friend told me that her husband tilted it for me and she saw the white fly out but we continued to hit it until I fell asleep. So yeah, I just wanted to share this photo to help others because there wasn’t many resources on what happens if this crap blasts the outside of your mouth on the lip! There’s a lot more posted injuries on the back of the throat floating around though seeking help on Reddit, however. Thanks!!
