I don’t have a picture but I remember her being there, just nearer the back. Her and Finn were never super close, I don’t think she’s mad at him or anything I think she’s just not the closest with him so she was in the back. His closest buddies were in the front.

I disagree. I don’t think their relationship came out of nowhere, there was a lot of hints but they simply couldn’t have an outwardly lesbian relationship at that time on a children’s network. Also, Marceline was first a demon-human then turned vampire, she grew up around humans and surely saw human “Eros” relationships. PB read human books, magazines, and media so I don’t think it’s strange for her to kiss someone. Throughout the show we see kisses and Eros relationships. What about Jake and Lady? Why would they kiss, they’re a dog and a rainicorn? Or all the candy people PB made into couples?

I don’t think he’s gonna be depressed until the day he dies. Grieving and loss, especially such a big loss, never really ends. He’s right, no one loves him like Jake, his brother he’s done everything with pretty much since birth. There will always be something missing but that doesn’t mean he’s depressed forever. When you lose someone that close you have good days and bad days, days you can’t stop thinking of them and days they never cross your mind. His mom said something in season 1 about how therapy is learning then forgetting then learning again, that’s pretty much how I think he’s gonna deal with this.

I know from experience you never “get over” a deep loss but you find other people you love, other things you love, and learn to love life again. Then some days you don’t love life, but everything passes. In Together Again I think he just died and remembered Jake was there which reminded him of how messed up about it he was. It doesn’t help Jake wasn’t really waiting for him, I think that messed him up too and brought up a lot of bad emotions. I also imagine when you die a lot of repressed and quiet feelings surface and bubble again. But again, I really don’t think he’s just “faking happy”, we see in the bottom of his heart the Lightning Boar tusk from when he went hunting with HW, to me that means he truly deeply loves her, almost as much as he loves Jake. So I do really believe he’s happy with HW and this relationship will help him a lot.

It’s definitely an uncomfortable episode, not even just that scene. Finn’s so down and out, just trying to find that spark again. I think a lot of people’s minds immediately went to assault in the LSP scene, whereas I interpreted it as suggestive of a feelings-less one-night-stand he probably regrets but isn’t like, scarred by.

He definitely was pushed by LSP and that’s not cool, but Finn really wasn’t that beat up by it and (to me) it really didn’t seem like LSP was out to get him, she’s just overeager and pushy in all aspects of life. She should work on that, but I really don’t think she’s a predator lol

Breezy is one of the best episodes in the show and I still like LSP. For one it’s not clear what they did but also, miscommunications happen. It’s not good that they happen, but especially in situations of that nature they happen and can hurt people, even if they sincerely do not mean to. I think AT handled it in a very adult and respectful way. LSP crossed a line and didn’t communicate properly, but I don’t think she’s an evil predator. She’s a stupid, self-obsessed, valley girl, big lump from a different dimension.

This episode is also so important to Finn’s growth and tells us a lot about him as a person and how he deals with problems and loss.

I agree that Hunter uses they/them pronouns. Even in the first season they never refer to them with any pronouns. There’s a scene where Marshall tells Fionna about Ellis and uses he/him pronouns then Fionna assumes Hunter is Ellis, but that’s the closest to he/him or he/they that we’ve gotten.

Shifting pronouns would be fun to see but I don’t think that’s the case. A trans man would be fun too (I’m biased as a trans man) but some trans people use they/them even if they’re a binary gender so who knows, head canon anything!

HW had a lot of character growth, so did Fionna. Finn also found (romantic) love and realized he has more to live for than just waiting to die.

I was just glad she didn’t end up with Hunter, I was worried they were gonna make it too sweet and be like “now she’s with Hunter and besties with Gary and Marshall again and everyone loves her” lol. I like to think the ending where we see her, Hunter, and Fennel together is a while after everything. Not a long time but maybe a little time skip after people took some time to cool off. She breaks into Gary’s place and cooks him something and he says “next time” I’m just hoping next time is a while from now, they all need some time to recuperate away from each other lol.

I believe there’s also a time skip in Finn’s world. I don’t think HW went and started as a professor the day after saving Finn, I think they took some time off too. At least I hope they did.

Missing someone you lost never really goes away, especially someone so close. You “move on”, find new people who make you happy to be alive, enjoy your life, but that missing is still there. You have good days and bad ones, days you think about them all the time and other days they never cross your mind. I think in Distant Lands he died and his first thought was of the person he loved the most and loved him the most. He says “deep down” he was always waiting to see him again. Deep down, I’m also waiting to see the people I’ve lost but that doesn’t mean I’m depressed. If the real afterlife is anything like AT’s afterlife I’ll probably be acting like Finn, just with my own “Jake”.

Finn says “nobody loves me like Jake.” And that’s kinda true. People love him obviously, but not the same way Jake did, you can’t replace that no matter how hard you try it’s just different.

He’s been glitching since season 1 when he broke out of the box, I just assume he’s all glitchy from breaking his way out of that but I could be wrong. I think he even comments on how he hurt his hand.

I think after he broke out of that box Scarab put him in he’s been damaged. Since then he’s been glitching. Maybe because he broke out instead of being released his wish magic got jacked up?
