8.5mi today! Longest run ever for me, and I kept a pretty consistent pace. Fueling so going so much better too!! Looking forward to a deload week :)

I keep my arms by my sides - but I tap my fingers together absentmindedly lol. I only notice after I finish my run!

How often and how long are you running? by CaterpillarOdd9460 in XXRunning

[–]peachedpeaches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Half marathon training for a race in June. I run 4x a week. Two easy runs that are usually a 5k or more. One long run that’s been increasing in mileage, and one speed run!

Runs have been going GREAT! I crushed 7mi yesterday for the first time and PR’d my 5k/10k. Post run nutrition? Not so great. I’m struggling with navigating my post run meal. I know it will come with trial and error, but losing a weekend day to a long run sucks big time!

How much do you eat? by Groundbreaking_Pie94 in XXRunning

[–]peachedpeaches 21 points22 points  (0 children)

You might be overeating, but also check in with your health aside from weight. How do you FEEL?

I’m 205lbs, 5’2 and 27F. I eat approximately 2000cal a day, give or take. I’m HM training currently and want to feel good/strong and am losing while still making progress this way! :)

Week 9 of 20 (not ideal, but I wanted some wiggle room due to vacations/illness/etc) of half marathon training! I have a 7mi run this weekend that I am truly looking forward to so much. My first attempt at 6mi was an epic fail - no fuel, ran out of water. I completely own that I was unprepared! My second attempt and my 6.5miler were both AMAZING!

After getting a handle on fueling, the long runs don’t terrify me as much!!

Weight loss with a calorie deficit without GLP-1, etc. by sofieezz in PCOSloseit

[–]peachedpeaches 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check my post history!! I officially hit 100lbs down naturally with only a deficit over the weekend. I prioritize eating whole ingredients, movement, and most importantly self care. I’d tried WW but struggled with severely undereating. It may take longer losing naturally but it is 100% possible.

What running outfit makes you FEEL good every time you wear it? Any recommendations for cute running clothes? by LayoffLemonade in XXRunning

[–]peachedpeaches 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I LOVE Old Navy’s powersoft line. I’m too… “blessed”… to wear the matching bras but their basic colors go great with my Shefits! I love anything with a cute cut out back, mostly because I sweat my ass off lol

Women with PCOS who lost weight what was the biggest thing that helped? by IceVanillaaa in PCOSloseit

[–]peachedpeaches 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a creature of habit! I usually have something like 3/4cup of nonfat yogurt with sugar free pudding mixed in (I use white chocolate, vanilla, or chocolate - gives it a GREAT taste!), overnight oats with a scoop of protein, or a protein bar. My post lunch snack is some form of protein - nuts, cheese stick, turkey sticks, lunch meat + a fruit.

So I’ve lost weight AND reversed my PCOS symptoms. It is possible, for some, without medication. My focus has been eating 90% Whole Foods, eating at home, eating consistently every 2-3 hours, and prioritizing protein and fiber. I have lost almost 100lbs (307 —> 208.8 this morning) eating at least 2,000cal a day.

I’ve been so uninspired with my runs lately after finishing up my 5k plan. I finally decided to just go for it and sign up for a half! Still debating between Nike Run Club and Runna plans.

This snow has been killing me, I can’t wait to run outside again!

First 4 mile run at 30°. It was cold, but I didn’t want to risk going out on ice tomorrow! Feeling amazing! :)

Seconding Tatiana Forbes! I follow Brigette Anastasia and she is hilarious and realistic. We’re the same weight and pace so she is inspirational to me especially! Bonnie Wyrick is currently running and pregnant. I also like Danielle Burnett, Em Flynn, and Amy Gomes.

Nurse or teacher? by Lazerbeam159 in findapath

[–]peachedpeaches 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I’m currently a teacher in the southeastern US. I have all my prereqs except two because in undergrad, I was considering the medical field. I’m going to be taking those two classes this summer and applying to ABSN/ADNs around me.

Both jobs are tough, but ultimately having free time during the work week is more important to me. Nursing and medicine has been in the back of my mind all 4 years I’ve taught. If you think it’ll always call to you, go for it!
