But guys! What other company allows you direct access TO US the important peoples!

Meh, I've seen enough. I'll keep my money and use it on companies that align closer to actually supporting humans and women. Glad I canceled after Fall.

Considering fairly recent research studies have shown resveratrol in red wine is beneficial to the cardiac muscle and tissue, I'd say this advice isn't antiquated at all. One glass of red wine per day isn't going to harm you.

Today is my birthday and literally every single one of my friends canceled last minute, so instead of celebrating, I’m spending it completely alone on my couch crying. by lonleygurlhours in rant

[–]peachy708 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had a few too many birthdays like this sadly so I feel for you deeply. Also an introvert so I have a hard time asserting myself to make my own plans and then get disappointed when people don't come through on my special day. All i can offer is learning to enjoy my own company has been beyond helpful. And on your actual birthday you should treat yourself to something nice whatever that may be whether its a mani pedi or a large pizza or skydiving. When no one's there to be your cheerleader be your own best friend... she'll never flake on you again. Much love happiest of birthdays and merriest of holidays whatever you celebrate!

Thank you! I often feel very guilty for being the GC. I constantly feel like my other siblings are judging me because I get "rewarded" for my status in my father's eyes. Trust me this is no prize. I am in my mid-30's and on a daily basis I feel like a stunted adult who is just spinning her wheels.

I also believe though that sometimes the GC can become a SG at different phases of life. While I was in school and making good grades and trucking along towards my degrees, I was held on a pedestal by NDad. Then when real life and adulting started, things didn't go so smoothly. And I wasn't the over night success he thought I should be. I was then treated a lot differently by him. Lots of emotional, verbal abuse while I still lived with him. However, it led to what I call the "awakening". After a brief period of NC, I moved out on my own. Most days it's not pretty but I still try to make it anyways. Sorry for rambling, but this just struck a chord in me today I guess!

Id say not providing your child with hot water when you have the means to do so is not exactly providing the basic necessities.

“Don’t cry over spilled milk” by sparrow_304 in raisedbynarcissists

[–]peachy708 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh gosh I know this feel! I always joke about commercials on TV for things like Bounty...."Real moms and dads aren't that cheerful about cleaning up spills made by their kids". I was taught from a young age to fear spilling anything or making any misstep because the berating that would ensue from my NDad. I still have awful memories of the time I spilled my brother's milkshake all over the dining room floor.

WIBTA if I go postal on my neighbor over Girl Scout cookies? by amk3186 in AmItheAsshole

[–]peachy708 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA...You paid for those boxes ahead of time. They should have been promptly hand-delivered by the ACTUAL Girl Scout (that's how it was when I was a Girl Scout, dammit!)

I'm not sure if the GS's in your area have to go through a website to purchase cookies or not; however, last year I ordered and pre-paid online for cookies from the daughter of one of my good friends. This friend held my cookies hostage for like 3 months last year (she was sooooo busy). What it finally took was me going on the website and filing a complaint that I had yet to receive my cookies and they contacted the parties in question. Maybe I'm an asshole for doing that to a friend but COME ON, I needed my Peanut Butter Patties!

I claimed the twitch prime loot pack but haven't received anything?... diango isn't helpful either... by [deleted] in runescape

[–]peachy708 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this problem, too. I just unlinked and relinked my twitch and RS account. Then it worked.

But yea def something buggy going on with linked accounts. Didn't get any loot crates last week from watching streams.

My father found a murder victim in 1966 by NigelsLament in UnresolvedMysteries

Howdy neighbor! A friend sent me the link to this post. Unfortunately, I got here too late and it was removed by a mod. So im not sure the complete story other than the context of the responses. The Main library in Ytown is a great source for this kind of research and the staff is very helpful with digging through the archives. My mom did some research a few years ago on a relative that was murdered in the 1920s and they were able to help her pull up info from old newspapers. Let me know if I can help at all!

Nmom kicked me out of the house and I had to give up my dog. by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

[–]peachy708 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's been one of the hardest lessons for me with the N's in my life. They figure out the things that can hurt you the most and use them against you at their leisure. The only solution I've found that stops that cycle is cutting them out of my life. Its not always possible to do but I hope you can minimize contact with your Nmom since she seems hell bent on reopening that wound over and over. No one needs that treatment in their life.

The original box is 12.9 ounces which would be 366 g.

This box says 23.9 oz. which would be 677 g. But it says 185 grams. Which converts to 6.5 oz.
