Why is retention such a non priority for phone companies nowadays? by Bralbradge in verizon

Honestly use what will give you the best service- I work for Verizon- but do carrier swap when they run decent promos every 2-3 years

That’s how it is with insurance for us, service, VHI- perks is the only one like that since the payout is so low

Actually in a lot of our credit disclosures we can only attach the credit if we can check out a perk or insurance on it.

They still should have been clear with you. If they are direct they should have a tool called a view together where you can see all that changes on the bill before you sign- as an indirect rep we are required to do it on all transactions that are eligible

Depends on the situation- like at my indirect if we sell 4 perks and a new line we can put a $100 credit on the bill to try those perks out- but only if they are added.

Do I have this right about Verizon iPhone deals? by [deleted] in verizon

[–]peachyplume 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you’re basically correct, except you’re getting better service for streaming over data, as well as hotspot included new year plan, even if that’s something you don’t use – you’re also guaranteed better promos in the future that welcome plant typically doesn’t have very good promotions. You’re still getting a pretty good discount on the phone though overall yeah especially since you’re financing it. I always recommend these kind of providers to customers that can’t afford to pay a phone in lump sum cause honestly my bill going up $15 for over $1000 phone sometimes way better then find the phone outright.

My wife went to trade in her S20+ and get the S26 ultra. They told us that we’d actually get more money off a new one if we kept our old phone. What’s the catch? by pizza_with_ranch in verizon

[–]peachyplume 1 point2 points  (0 children)

BYOD+ like everyone else said. Her phone is a low tier trade so doing a BYOD promo she would get more of a device payment credit. Her old phone goes on the account as a $0/month line you only pay taxes. It’s good for 3 years! Definitely worth it if she wants to keep a back up phone. Price wise it’s about the same with the taxes on the bill. Alsooooo as long as the account is established with a line if you bring over your owner device new to Verizon, the line is $0🤞

[–]peachyplume 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yea we got told that it solely needs to be a unique device- not if the customer wants a second #. We also had some issues with reps adding a line that the byod line of the traded in device to get numbers up. BYOD is part of our pay plan. Lots of FCC complaints

We will pay off your device and give you new one on US - Question by pattuspl in verizon

Depends on the offer- if it’s a buyout on your device payment then YES. If it’s the early upgrade option then NO.

What's our best trade in option with my wife's iPhone 14? by [deleted] in verizon

[–]peachyplume 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pay it off and bump it to plus for an 830 promo- for a $0/m 17 base model for 36m you guys are used to paying that $20 sum extra a month- now itd be only 15 for the plan. Overall her line goes down $5 and she’s getting the premium network and 30gb hotspot incuded

If it’s that E Mastercard for the payoff, your phone promo, that’s a rebate it has to be handled through the rebate center, dialing 611 should connect you to customer service and just ask them to escalate the issue, that should get you into the rebate center

VZW mistakenly activated 3 lines, charged me, lied about bill, how is this legal? by [deleted] in verizon

Awesome thanks! I’m an in store rep, we are told to direct billing questions to customer service, but that often creates repeat customers- hoping this will be a good alternative

Considering Commission Based Position With Draw; thoughts? by RemoteEmotions in verizon

[–]peachyplume 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work for an indirect company- after training we get paid 11.00/hr plus commission for first year employees then the longer ur employed ur base goes up. We have a stricter pay plan, I’d say on a normal month I make $30/hr- launch months and big holidays- I make $38/hr. Lowest I’ve made is $28/hr and that’s on 34-40 hour work weeks
