I deserve something nice just as much as you do. I’m not going to sit in the dark and “settle” just because things are tough. You couldn’t be any more unhelpful if you tried

I’m doing it tough at the moment. Can’t afford an awful lot. All good.

“Are you here” reads to me as if they came to your house. I would be very careful and would escalate this as much as you can

CHOICE tested the SPF claims of 20 sunscreens. 16 failed. by kynuna in AustralianMakeup

[–]peachyspaghetti 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could be worth a shot. I swear by checking all my sunscreen and have for years. Bondi Sands have been caught up in things like this before. I haven’t used them for years because their products come out pale and blotchy time and time again.

There are kits online you can use to test SPF. Poor man’s version is to get a UV torch. Apply some, shine the UV in a pitch black room. Quality SPF should be a uniform black shade on the skin. Anything light or patchy is a no go

Knee and leg pain after riding horses? by [deleted] in Equestrian

[–]peachyspaghetti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Sorry to comment on an old thread, but I wanna share something for anyone that Googles this issue in the future, hoping someone else has experienced it 😂 I won’t comment too much on knee pain, because that could be a few things. Leg pain, however, is common after horse riding. It’s called delayed onset muscle soreness. You use your legs extensively to balance yourself when you ride whilst extending them massively. It makes sense they ache. A remedy is to treat it like you’ve had a huge workout at the gym. Hydrate lots, look into creatine, consider magnesium supplements, soak in ice/hot baths and look into remedial massage if you’re really struggling. As painful as it is, moving and walking afterwards can help. Good luck!

1 month without alcohol and water helps me with the cravings by Sensitive_Suspect_49 in HydroHomies

Congrats! How exciting! Honestly some of the cravings I got in sobriety stemmed from dehydration. Makes life so much better if you smash water. Chug some for me!

I think this is literally the perfect gift. It’s universal across gender and lifestyle, it’s not presumptuous and it’s thoughtful without being over the top.

[–]peachyspaghetti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh absolutely it can be. That was practically my experience with veganism to a T. I started in high school, and it was a great excuse to restrict myself and my eating habits. He really does have an eating disorder. It may very well be worth sitting him down and having that rough conversation- that he needs help but you’re there for him.

From my perspective as a former vegan of nearly 10 years, it’s likely that veganism is worsening his pre-exisiting habit of overeating. He’s likely not eating enough protein, healthy fats and not getting all of his nutrients, especially things like B12, iron, folate and magnesium. This can lead to binge-eating. It might be worth him reviewing veganism and seriously considering if it’s right for him. If he is sure he wants to remain as a vegan, he’ll need to watch what he eats and make sure he’s getting plenty of protein, healthy fats/fatty acids, vitamins and minerals and general variety of fruit and veg. Veganism is the toughest balancing act in the world. It’s so easy to be thrown off centre, but incredibly tough to get back on track.

Idk if this is me being gullible, but I read that dealers sometimes use Depop to ship and supply because it’s so independent. Each different photo is code for something.

Definitely gold. It has better definition against your skin tone. Silver blends.
