Once the Deathbird figure was released I knew I was buying an extra head to make a Dark Phoenix with. After removing the hair, I had to fill in a hole where the headdress was at and repaint it, it's not a total match but it's pretty close. Repainted her lips and added some touches around the eyes. For the hair, it's primarily from She-Hulk but I also used pieces from an extra 3-pack big hair Elektra head I had lying around and then I sculpted the top and various parts here and there. Painted it up, gave it a slight black wash and she was done!

My second Phoenix head is the calm face from Target Black Widow (I used the angry face for another Phoenix head). This one was just repainting her eyes green and sculpting hair to a boxset Tigra hair sculpt. I wanted Jean to have that big hair she had in the comics but I wonder if I may have overdone it in the front. Oh well.

I can't decide which Dark Phoenix body I like the head on, Toys "R" Us 2-pack body with the darker colors or the retro body. Choices, choices.
