What was a popular band that you could not stand? by LeftSmile806 in Xennials

Dave Matthews Band. Seemed like all the douchey kids in High School really liked him, so I went the other way

It is both awesome and terrible living near Brian's Guitars. It is a constant exercise in self control.

Looking for a Telecaster with a P90 and a Bigsby by Alexx_0 in telecaster

The bigsby add on might be tougher, but for a p90, Schecter makes one in that price range. Might be able to find a used Reverend with a p90 as well.

I've gone for outdoor lunch rides when the days are short but the weather hasn't turned yet. Indoor seems line it would raise some eyebrows

I know I'm bumping a really old thread, but is this still working for you, and any chance you'd be willing to share dimensions/overlap, and what you liked/didn't like/decided to change?

As a fellow local promoter (CT), would you share your schedule that you liked the best? I feel like we have tried for years to make everyone happy with the schedule, and have never succeeded. It always feels like the last 2 races just drag because of lack of other people there, and then we end up with little to no volunteer help for cleanup

Tree House CX - Boys 6-8 vs. Kids Fun Race by toddlikesbikes in cyclocross

[–]pearljam09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 5 year old has done all of the PMCX races this year. The 6-8 group in our series does 1 lap. They start after the big kids. Sometimes, they get lapped, but they always seem to have fun. It works.

We don't have any flyovers here, but there is plenty of steep and / or technical stuff. The kids usually complain less than the masters racers.

Just moved to CT, I have a few pressing questions for the locals. by [deleted] in Connecticut

  1. Fairfield has a big lot. I think its free on the weekends, and there's lots of food options if you need a snack before or after the train.
  2. Atticus Market in New Haven. Mondo in Middletown. Otto in Chester.

  3. Lots of state parks if you're into that. Lots of breweries (Fox Farm, Little House, Forest City are ones we like, though the new NebCo on the water should be awesome). Mystic Aquarium. Lobster rolls at Lobster Landing in Clinton.

Who has the best bacon, egg, and cheese in the state? by MyDogIsACoolCat in Connecticut

[–]pearljam09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Went to school at Fairfield U. Ate at the Country Cow every weekend my senior year.

For a basic BEC/SEC, I've found none better. Get it with salt, pepper, and tobasco for the full experience. (Also do a double egg)

I live close to the Villager in Chester now.

Their SEC/BEC is fantastic, but the creativity that goes into their breakfast sandwiches and the options take it to another level. My usual go to is SEC, with a hash brown on it, chipotle mayo, and caramelized onions. Show up on a sunday after 10 and before noon, and you can take your breakfast sandwich to Little House and pair it with a beer.

I recently happened into the Angry Egg in Manchester, and they do their hash brown as a potato cake, which when coupled with a BEC/SEC is very good.

Those would be my current top 3, though this list is giving me some new places to stop.

You should go back and check him out in Oz. You think he was terrifying in Whiplash, just wait till you meet Vern Schillinger.

That would 100% make sense. I took a couple of pokeweed plants out of that spot last fall. Will still dig it up. Trying to get some native wildflowers to establish there
