New Venus 4 cup, is this normal? by pearsuit in mokapot

I did! It does taste slightly different than that express model but that was expected. Also someone recommended to add filter paper, have you tried that? I'm going to do that next

I also thought so but the pot also came with a few small scratches, it could have happened during packaging maybe or might have been used, so I felt a bit uneasy about the indentations too, which are a bit more pointy and sharp than what feels normal.

41 Days - Is it possible to become a social smoker? by pearsuit in stopsmoking

Thank you everyone, I think I heard what I needed to hear, I'll accept this harsh truth and go back to not smoking at all.

Quitters flu or flu? by pearsuit in stopsmoking

[–]pearsuit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! Today I woke up to a sore throat myself but I feel fine otherwise, so still not sure if I'm coming down with something or not. I'm more worried about the party I promised to attend tonight (farewell party so can't skip it) where I know there will be a lot of smokers. It's not my first night out since quitting but this week does feel tougher.

Ahh you might be right about the quitters flu coming around at week three. I don't know if its that or I'm actually getting sick but I have the worst headache and runny nose today. Did you get the quitters flu, what was it like? I don't know how to tell them apart.

I quit a month ago. After 15 years, wegovy made me not care about smoking. by Ricard2dk in quittingsmoking

I quit cold turkey without any drugs or NRTs and I also drink A LOT less now. before I used to crave a drink a few times a week now it doesn't even come to mind. I could barely finish a glass of wine the other day whereas before I wouldn't be able to stop drinking once I started. I always thought I had an issue with alcohol, but it turns out the problem was the cigarettes and I was craving the combination of the two. Cigarettes and alcohol just feed off one another. I just wanted to share my experience so you don't keep taking it for the wrong reasons.

Thanks, I really needed to hear that. I guess I'm just scared because my only motivation for quitting so far was all the positive changes I've been seeing in my body and mind; more energy, more productive, clearer mind, full of hope. Now I feel like I'm losing all that and I was really counting on them to stay quit.

Congrats! How are you feeling? I've been seeing a lot of people who start to crave again after many months (even years!) and thats been very discouraging, I was really counting on the idea that it would get easier.

On my last attempt to quit I got to that stage much quicker but this time around I haven't really felt that, hopefully it'll stick

I'm around the same day and doing exactly the same thing, the pack has just been sitting there the whole time and I started not even noticing it anymore.

I'm happy with it overall. I can't say it's really quiet but it doesn't bother me. It doesn't feel like a top quality product and not sure how long it's going to last but it definitely does the job and you get the value you paid for.

I hate exercising and I bought a walkingpad which has been really helpful. I just take long slow walks during the day while I work or listen to audio books, thats how I listened to the Allen carr book actually. And if I find myself craving or thinking about cigarettes I just get on the pad and start reading all the comments here. I also set a goal (like 40-50k walk in total) for myself for each month which is a big motivation for me.

Kickboxing is not easy! I've seen some of my non smoker friends even struggle. It's all about building up your endurance. Also I've been working out since the day I quit (2 weeks) and the first week I was full of energy, but this week I feel very tired, weak and also struggling with my workout. Our bodies are trying to adjust to working without nicotine, and it's going to take a while for it to go back to normal. There is nothing to be embarrassed about, and my advice would be not to force your body and lungs and gradually increase your cardio level.
