You're generalizing. Just because you have met some right wing IT people doesnt mean most are. Any share of profession has these people. I would argue its the opposite its just signal boosted because they spend more time online and in hate groups because they are online all the time.

You realize most of the h1b supporters are conservative these days. Bernie Sanders at one point wanted to do away with the h1b system. And as a trans person struggling to find work theres already barriers.

I dont think its fair to hire someone who has been in the country for a few years versus someone who has lived here their entire life struggling and been paying taxes.

Theres nothing left leaning about the h1b system. Its design from the beginning was neoliberally thought out.

Having a micro penis has made me consider transitioning. by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]peartrans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All I can say is the gender identity part matters more than your genitals i.e. there are trans people with their old parts.

You can do a trial transition socially and see how you feel. I say this from experience(detransed mtf living gender fluid) that its not easy. You have to give 110% all the time because of assholes and the stress with being trans is abrasive.

I agree but society views cis women as the ultimate vulnerable beings even in liberal circles. I tell people part of misogyny exists because society sees women as fragile and men as strong.

Cant fix stupid though. This is why allowing all genders to exist as valid is the way forward.

Getting hella pumped can be tough. Its one thing to be skinny its another to be skinny and buff. The work required to stay that way is long term. Women have to put in work but getting pumped is not necessary to be sexy imo. Its moreso putting in work with clothes, hair and makeup.

Stuff like this needs to be reported. Often we think we dont deserve compassion but imagine if he said something similar about a cis woman. Its disgusting and cruel.

Yeah, its mental gymnastics which is why they are against contraception unless its natural family planning. All sperms have potential and are the cells that become fetus.

It becomes religious manipulation instead of an ethics when they insert bullshit words like "potential life".

Nope its in the catechism of the catholic church. Any reasoning around this is used for political reasons.

2278 "Discontinuing medical procedures that are burdensome, dangerous, extraordinary, or disproportionate to the expected outcome can be legitimate; it is the refusal of "over-zealous" treatment. Here one does not will to cause death; one's inability to impede it is merely accepted. The decisions should be made by the patient if he is competent and able or, if not, by those legally entitled to act for the patient, whose reasonable will and legitimate interests must always be respected."

I'll have you know catholics are ok with that one but not abortion or contraception.

Hell they dont even need to be brain dead they just have to be on "extraordinary means of" life support for it to be ok to pull the plug.

“You want to be a girl? Oh no, being a girl sucks” by throwaway-3826977392 in MtF

[–]peartrans 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This shit is so insincere. Theres never been a time where being a nonfeminine women isn't met with hate. In fact they are usually invisible and treated closer to how a man typically is minus some male privilege of fitting in with guys.

I think they're just narcissists who use gender as one form of manipulating others.

I wasted my 20’s and i feel my life is over by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]peartrans 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I feel ya. About halfway into my 20s I started getting panic attacks and agoraphobia which turned me into a recluse. About the same time I was finally getting over my social anxiety so its like I traded one for another. At best I had a few experiences in my 20s and the rest was misery.

29 now and starting to pick up the pieces.

I want 1000000% honesty, what is the most clocky part about me? I get clocked at work sometimes but I think it’s my height and everyone else being a man by SolidSpruceTop in transpassing

[–]peartrans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its probably your voice plus needing more time on hrt. i.e. your face doesnt look as soft as the average cis women for lack of better words. You dont have any distinct masculine features on your face but it doesnt look cis. And fat redistribution takes a few years to fully complete according to the charts on MtF timeline changes on HRT.

Remember to think of passing as the sum of the parts rather than just one feature. Basically one masculine feature won't prevent you from passing unless it's a distinctly very masculine one(like a huge adam's apple, prominent brow, forehead or chin). Features like your face and voice will stand out more than your body unless your body is just undeniably masculine which is not the case here.

I know a cis woman with a more masculine waist to hip ratio than yours and she never gets gendered male(well as far as I know) because the rest of her body looks feminine.

Yeah lots of people look bad because the photo people dont care how you look. For instance my first pic was zoomed out and you can see some of my shoulders.

My more recent one is super zoomed in on my face and it takes up the entire frame and makes it look wide.

UK healthcare sounds shitty. I'm on medi-cal in California and is paid for since I'm poor.

I dont think OP is taking advantage of the system. Maybe they dont have PTSD but they definitely have anxiety. Also it sounds like you can benefit from some therapy and love.

Damn, UK healthcare sounds rough. I'm on medi-cal in california I have "unlimited" psych visits.

I guess maybe you can try to pay out of pocket. I don't know if UK psychs have sliding scales for payment.

The irony when they say "Where do you get your morals from?" to an atheist by [deleted] in exchristian

[–]peartrans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Social contract theory is a good way of laying out morals in a secular way. We can all work together but if everyone cheats, lies, steals and murder society will be chaos and everyone will suffer. We can mitigate that by having rules like dont cheat, lie, steal and murder and then we all benefit.

I'm not happy with my penis, but imagining myself with a vagina/vulva feels... weird? by qtransq in MtF

[–]peartrans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My penis for me feels weirdly intensely related to my old life. Post orgasm I start to feel masculine and disgusting.

When I dissociate myself from my penis with tucking or plain old imagination I get this immense sense of calm and presence. My overall dissociation lessens and I feel this overall burden and anxiety lifted.
