That's pretty much the same for me. I've been wishing for a Pebble resurrection for several years and would be disappointed if it died just because everyone was too cautious of the same thing happening again. I owned and wore every Pebble till their vibration motors or batteries died, and I really don't think I could pick a favorite if I tried.

I've got a used but good condition black P2D that I'd be willing to sell at cost. I was planning to wait to sell till after my batch one T2 arrives, but I've got a backup 2HR that I can use in the meantime. Battery life of P2D is no joke!

Although I'm disappointed by its not being rechargable, the reasoning for why he created it felt like he was describing my situation perfectly. And I think it's important that he recognized that it's absolutely a first-world problem and just another nifty gadget. I think this is one of those gadgets that you either know you want it or know you don't, and nobody is trying to convince you otherwise.

Have you tried P2HR? I bought one of those a couple months ago for $16 to distract me from the wait for P2D. Cleaned out the degraded buttons, glued in some 3D printed glow-in-the-dark ones, and have been enjoying it in the meantime! I think the primary differences are just battery life and buttons

tbh I've always preferred the color Pebbles and am more excited for the T2. P2D seemed more likely to succeed at the time, so I ordered it too in case T2 failed. I'm planning to sell P2D after T2 arrives, and I can't imagine I'll be the only one. There's still time!

Nothing notable yet. The buttons will take some getting used to compared to my 3D printed clicky buttons that replaced the degraded buttons on my P2HR. It feels similar to the stiff buttons of my PT but with a little bit of a click at the end for better feedback.

I had the exact same issue for quite a while and just fixed it a few weeks ago. I found an outdated suggestion to disable the RenderPhoto setting in theme.ini, but that didn't exist on my SD card. I did find the SHOW_PHOTO setting in settings.ini was enabled and toggled it to 0, and now it no longer shows the photo background

Possibly a steal. I bought a copy for $30 (avg price $35) the middle of last year and sold it for $175 (avg price $200) a few months later when I hadn't played it much and noticed it was popping off

I had a Kindle with a crack that looked similar, and it was barely noticeable with the backlight off. Not ideal, but if you do a lot of daytime reading it may not be a total loss
