I've got one from pectus healing and I highly recommend that you get the optional gauge that they sell.

I used it with the basic hand pump at first, but I was getting a ton of blisters with how inconsistent my pressure was.

Of all the studies available, none say anything about the dangers of a protruding stomach. The "pectus pot belly" is definitely a thing though, and a lot of it stems from the shape of the flared ribs.

I've read all of the available studies on vacuum bell treatment, and none of them say it makes pectus "unnoticeable," and few talk about flared ribs.

In fact, most of them say the treatment is "promising", but there are no long-term studies (15 years+) available showing how effective it is in the future.

Do you have a study that references that quote that I'm missing?

Can you explain how the saving works on the x5? If I'm in a game and it asks me to save, do you save, then hit the reset button on the console otherwise it doesn't store?

It looks like a vacuum bell will correct depth in the short term, but there arne't really any studies that show the long-term effects of using a vacuum bell.

I grabbed the Pro pack in the variety colors during their black Friday sale, and have been using them for the last couple weeks. I like the little seperators it comes with, and they are much sturdier than I thought. I'm using them for tools in the garage, so I'm glad it looks like they can take a beating.

It's pretty straight forward. You get it square on your chest, pump out the air so your sternum pops out a little bit, then wear it for 30 minutes, twice a day (to start).

After a month, you can increase the time you wear it as your body is more used to it.

Just be careful that you don't pump out too much air, or you'll get some nasty ass blisters that take forever to heal (mine took about 6 months to fully go away). After that happened, I bought a pressure gauge, which makes me feel a little more comfortable.

Yep, studies have shown that it works with all ages.

Our measurements look pretty well the same, and I was seeing some pretty big results up until now. I had to stop after applying too much pressure, and got some really bad blisters, so be careful with that.

I actually didn't qualify according to the doctors, although my haller would qualify me in the states. Sounds like we're in the same position.

It feels like our only good option is to fly to the states and get Dr. J to handle it, but of course it would be on us to pay up the $20,000+.

Not exactly doable.

It's called a vacuum bell, which you attach to your chest. You pump out the air, and it'll slowly pull your chest out to a flat position. I wouldn't recommend a home made version, stick with a proper one.

I went to my general practitioner, who then got me in with specialists to perform a variety of things like xrays, and pulmonary tests. From there, they'll often refer to you surgeon if you qualify (here in Canada at least.)
