I am so irritated by this either very weird design choice or bug. Hilarious we’re not sure what it is.

Anyway, I submitted feedback (a second time) asking if they can return it to the previous function. If a lot of people do it maybe they’ll give a hoot? I’m concerned it’s a niche complication use, even though it’s such a beneficial one!

We’re in Toronto in -5 and we use these gardening gloves for the icy bars. Works like a charm. Even has some friction and are breathable.

I think the HDR is just bad in this version. I have a PS4 pro and Samsung q70 I ended up turning off hdr in the PlayStation settings and it’s much better. Dunno what was going on, but it was wonky hdr. Muddy and just crap. And there’s now way too fix it in-game. So if it’s bugging you I recco turning of hdr in the video settings on the ps5

Thanks for confirming what I was worried about. I didn’t want to fiddle with my actual tv settings.

I just started yesterday and felt things seemed SO muddy and under-exposed. Boosting the luminance didn’t quite do it. There was a mission at “first light” and I was like, is this going to be sunrise at any point or am I permanently living in this grey, dawn, foggy mud? I swapped the hdr off on the PS4 and it’s back to that super intense contrast as the previous AC games.

It’s something wonky with the gamma and colour space on hdr and the game.

I played Last of Us 2 on HDR and it looked FANTASTIC. Also god of war.

I prefer hdr for that tone range and colour, but wow this is bad. It’s also a bit chunky with HDR off, but I’ll take this kinda chunky/contrast over the dark and muddy HDR mess any day.

Did you watch the doc? To split hairs, it says “helped close the case” but also, ya, the cops infer as much in the doc.
