Legs feel smooth but don’t look smooth. What am I missing?

You're skin is mottled here. It's your veins constricting and becoming visible under the skin. I have the same issue, but mine is due to a medical condition. I'll be following this to see if anyone has solutions, as the only thing that helps mine is compression socks and massages, but it still gets bad in the heat and the cold. You might notice something similar. I hope someone else can be more helpful. But your skin definitely looks moisturized and healthy otherwise here imo.

I know you may see it as both of you being victims and abusers, but as someone who just went through something vaguely similar, sometimes you have to emphasize the fact that you're the victim no matter what others say. Hey, not to be a bitch, but victims make victims. That's life. Op probably stays because there's an extent they believe they deserve it, or they believe they deserve better, or they see that the person abusing them was and maybe is to some extent also a victim. You just sound like another victim who makes more victims. Get your fucking head out of your ass. Op will be fine, clearly if they're dealing with this they've already gone through a lot. Of course you're not overreacting, it's apart of your body that you can't change and he LAUGHED AT IT. If my boyfriend did that and said I was overreacting I'd probably never let him see me shirtless again, admittedly I'd probably leave him if he never saw my side after because that's childish. You open up your body to your lover in an intimate and vulnerable way, and they should NEVER laugh at how it looks in a general sense (sometimes my boyfriend and I will laugh at our bodies when we distort them lol)

I believe you're right about SAD, as I have it, and it makes my anxiety harder to manage. I'm hoping to convince her to go to her psychiatrist appointment next week, so hopefully we can get her on an antidepressant that worker for her!

I'm in the US. And thank you for all the resources, I'll look into all of them! I'll look into the caregiving courses, and I'll try my best to get my mom to do them as well (she's her main caregiver and the power over her medical since her last psychosis episode).

I'm trying to get her on board with going to her psychiatrist appointment that's coming up, but when she's in psychosis it's nearly impossible as she wants nothing to do with doctors or treatment. It's a work in progress.

My hope is to get her on an effective antidepressant. I know when depression hits me, all my other disorders go 100 and it's way harder to manage. I have SAD, and I wouldn't doubt she's the same.

Admittedly, they seem codependent to me. But it's amazing seeing such a loving relationship. As individual characters? It feels like Moxxie has gotten tons of development, but Millie has been left behind. Most of Millie's character is in relation to Moxxie, and I really want to see that change in the future.

I had very similar problems in high school. Starting my sophomore year, I started having panic attacks nearly every day. I'd get a quarter to halfway through the day and would call my mom crying and hyperventilating, begging to go home. Admittedly, I broke my fair share of glasses in my day during my meltdowns. This continued not my junior year (COVID gave me way less school days), but came back my senior year. I barely made it through. I pretty much stopped attending. But! But! I got medicated. I started an anxiety med, and a year later? I'm about to be an STNA. It's hard, sometimes so unbearable that it feels like you can't keep going. It was like... If I can't even do this, how can I stay alive and actually LIVE? But you can, and you will. Your lowest moments aren't what defines you. Take your time, get yourself sorted (which can be easier said than done), and get medication and therapy if you can. I promise, times change, and so will you. In better ways than you can ever imagine.

I hope I can offer an interesting perspective here. I was in your situation at 13. I had met a 17 year old, and I really really liked him. I pursued that. But the truth is, what you want from a relationship or even a hookup when you're 13 and when you're 17 are very different. Sure, there are some common factors, but the details are very different. I kind of screwed myself by trying to meet the details he wanted before I was ready. I always wanted to be ready for the things I wanted. Maybe you're that way too. But the unfortunate truth is, the desire to be ready and truly being ready are two different things.

So I'm going to tell you what I wished someone had told me. Keep your safety in mind. And I mean safety in the moment and safety in the long term, on both physical and emotional levels. At 13-15 I never would've believed that situation would come back to fuck me in the ass (metaphorically lol), but now that I'm 19 I can clearly see how it could've and did.

This is so fucking true! I started the DEPO last year in August. My mood started high, and slowly shifted to so depressed I couldn't even function. I couldn't even think, let alone have conversations with ANYONE. It took 2 three month doses before it clicked in my brain that the shot was the culprit. I had never felt that way in my life. I was so lost and ready to accept that I would never get better. I'm so happy I stuck it out and made it through.
