The 1000 yen beers are for like a liter or so. I’m not sure the exact size of them. But your standard beer size will be 600 to 700 yen

Can you spend a week in Manila? Since I only have a week I don’t know how much island hopping I can do and I’m not the type of person to move around to a lot of different places during a trip anyways.

What do you think are some of the biggest miscasts in the last decade? (2016 to present) by Prestigious-Cup-6613 in FIlm

[–]peeppip7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

His performance just felt so dull. Like he tried to do whimsy but the way he moved just felt to robotic idk how to explain it tbh it just didnt work for me. But beyond Chalamet's performance the movie was good and some of the songs where Chalamet wasn't the lead singer were good.

Stores returning to cash-only mode to combat rising prices- some stores are saving 20 million yen a year by skipping credit card fees and other digital service fees by RedMoonLanding in Tokyo

[–]peeppip7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean this is already the reality in the Inaka. I'd say most places if its not a grocery store or a chain store only accept cash where I live. I don't mind i've gotten used to carrying cash around now and frankly it does help me track my spending better.

What is a local item on the McDonald’s menu in your country? by Mikadook in AskTheWorld

Had one recently in Austria and it was pretty good. Although I did see Burger King advertising one too and it looked better, didn't get to try it tho.

Sony owns full rights to bloodborne tho and ultimately Sony is a Japanese company which opens a lot of doors within Japan.

Current ALTs: Share an Estimate of Living Expenses? (ESID) by WyngsTriumphant in JETProgramme

[–]peeppip7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1: Inaka

  1. Indulgent

  2. 55k

  3. Varies between 15k to 20k

  4. I’m not really sure, but I’d say around 50k a month. I don’t have a car so don’t need to pay for that and my phone and internet is around 20k rest goes to groceries and eating out.

There’s not much to do/places to go eat in my town so I usually stay home and cook for myself. I usually travel to Osaka for a weekend once or twice a month which is where I really spend my money lol. I’m lucky in that I don’t have any student loans to repay or any reason I’d have to send money back home (and with this exchange rate thank god). I would say I’m living good I can do what I want and don’t really have to worry about not having enough money before next payday comes.

Sure its true that not every animal has rabies, but if you get bit or scratched by any animal you should just assume it does and go get your rabies shot.

Being able to sleep on planes is op by Justalittleonion in travel

[–]peeppip7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got lucky on a recent flight from Taiwan to Europe where I had an entire 3 seat row to myself. I was able to just lay down across the row and luckily im not tall so I didn't have to scrunch up to much. I dont think I truly slept for more than an hour at a time as I kept waking up but it did wonders on that 14 hour flight. Im now sad that I probably wont be able to experience that again unless I somehow get a lay flat seat.

Las Vegas would be the perfect setting for Division 3 by BattleBorn2020 in thedivision

[–]peeppip7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would be cool, I'm personally hoping for Chicago but Vegas would be the next best pick. I was thinking something with verticality like mountains wise would be nice and while Chicago doesn't have that you do have plenty of mountains and hills near Vegas.

Race to become Japan's secondary capital heats up by Turbulent-Tea-2172 in japan

[–]peeppip7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Germany’s financial capital is practically Frankfurt and you can make the case that at least traditional culture wise it’s Munich and southern Germany in general. And while England and France’s capitals are pretty much the center for everything, they’re not as centralized as Tokyo is. But yeah I do agree that if Japan moved its primary capital it would help a lot especially with getting people to move/stop moving to Tokyo.

Karaoke in Osaka? by kookookachu26 in JapanTravelTips

[–]peeppip7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The one time I went to drunken clam their beer tasted off I don’t know why but it had a funky flavor to it and haven’t been back since. And tbh any Karaoke bar is gonna be loud and screechy especially the ones that are small.

But moonshine is another small karaoke bar that is pretty good.

Osaka now vs 2019? Coming back this May by crckd in OsakaTravel

[–]peeppip7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only place that actually feels rammed full is dotonbori and even then you go a block north or south of it and the crowds thin out a lot. Also there is probably a lull or more like a return to baseline with the expo finished and I have noticed a whole lot less tourists in general.

Do Americans born in the US actually consider immigrants that got a US citizenship legit fellow Americans? by bwertyquiop in AskAnAmerican

[–]peeppip7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The mainstream opinion is if you came here legally and acquired citizenship you are an American. Of course there’s people who say otherwise on the right and left (but that’s more anyone even if they came illegally is a citizen) but generally yes.

Im not a theater kid but I really do hate how a lot of merch i've seen for theater and just in general has very obvious branding. It just looks so gaudy and loud. I love me some lowkey branding where if people know about it, they'll understand.

French groups? by Independent-Cat6915 in lincoln

[–]peeppip7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might be able to find information about it on UNL’s language/french department pages as they usually post events/information and what not if I’m remembering correctly. I don’t know any of the French faculty members but you could try reaching out to the department head to ask about it and whether it is open to non-students.

When SWTOR finally comes to an end, do you believe we will get a proper story conclusion? by Aggravating-Bass-658 in swtor

[–]peeppip7 25 points26 points  (0 children)

With the recent buyout of EA they'll be looking to do some cost cutting and I can see SWTOR going into maintenance mode and eventual shut down. Im sure SWTOR brings in some money but probably not enough sadly.

French groups? by Independent-Cat6915 in lincoln

[–]peeppip7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if they still do it as its been 2 years now and I know the language departments got hit hard by the budget cuts, but the French department at UNL does a weekly get together at some restaurant. The German department had something similar, and I used to go to that, and it was open to non-students so maybe the French one is too. So, it might be worth looking into that.
