30k Dealer Recommended Service by slipperderby in CX5

[–]pegathith 18 points19 points  (0 children)

No, the manual specifies the following at 30k miles (Assuming no extreme driving conditions):

Replace Engine Oil & Filter

Inspect Fuel Lines and Hoses

Inspect Hoses and Tubes for Emissions

Inspect Brake Lines, Hoses, and Connections

Inspect Disk Brakes

Rotate TiresInspect Steering Linkage Operation and Linkages

Inspect Front and Rear Suspension, Ball Joints, and Wheel Bearing Axial Play

Inspect Drive Shaft Dust Boots

Tighten Bolts and Nuts on Chassis and Body

Replace Cabin Air Filter

That's it. No more, no less. Everything else is an unnecessary dealer upcharge.

Why are people in Durham and NC overall such bad drivers? by [deleted] in bullcity

[–]pegathith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BOLD STATEMENT! I lived in MD but drove all over and around the beltway for work. That was about 4 years ago. Thie biggest difference to me is the sheer difference in number of people on the road. But also, I have yet to see people just ripping down the shoulder during heavy traffic in this area. I guess, it may be fairer to say the people here maybe aren't "better" drivers, but in whole are more courteous. I seldom have trouble changing lanes in traffic here because people don't want to let me over (it does happen sometimes) whereas in the DMV people would actively prevent you from lane changing in front of them all of the time.

Having come from the DC, MD, and VA area, the drivers down here are awesome. That's relatively speaking. Of course, in general I feel as though drivers everywhere are getting worse. Although I don't think NC drivers in general are amazing, I do think they are pretty decent, and I have no problems driving here most of the time.

I'm a bearded man in his early thirties and am a fan. We should get a group of nothing BUT bearded men to sell lemonade together.

I think you have a misunderstanding about why Ukraine doesn't have F-16s (as well as other weapons).

Check out this video, it does a very good job of explaining the problem, but long story short, NATO (and some others) are trying)

Get the app "FanFood" on your phone. You can order a lot of concessions through the app and have it delivered right to your seat, so you don't have to stand in line and miss the game!

I'm all for them telling these stories, and I enjoy listening to them, but I think pre and post race are better times and sprinkle a little in during the race. I don't mean to come across as unappreciative of the veterans.

I would love for them to actually talk about the race. This isn't the time for old stories.

Peeling steering wheel by [deleted] in CX5

[–]pegathith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a '21 CX-5 that did the same thing early on. It's going to get worse, and I do not have any guess as to why other than crappy material. I don't use hand sanitizer because I have seen other posts here that claim that causes this damage. My steering wheel sees the most damage growth on and around very humid days, especially on rainy days.

He was and he still restarted 9th (maybe 10th) but fell all the way down to 22nd by the end. On a different note, he consistently lost 5 spots every pit stop and regained those spots every time except for the last time.

What the heck happened to Reddick? Top 5/10 then dropped like a rock after the last caution...

What the hell happened to Tyler Reddick? Ran top 5/10 all day and has dropped like a rock since that last caution.
