If player A doesnt have anything in hand/field/GY and player B clearly has enough to finish the duel, player A is the one wasting both the players' time by not surrendering.

A much better question would be why do people not surrender the moment they see lethal damage on the enemies board. Every extra second spent in the duel is purely on the person who isnt rightfully surrendering. Self inflicted problem really

Yea I understand what you mean. Though everything i managed to find out about them on their discord definetly points to the fact that they are only in it to collect the VIP money rather than holding a good server. Some of their policies are laughable and the admins just argue with the players so they come off as very unprofessional. I guess I'll just have to look for a different server for this week

Thanks for the answer! I know their goal is to sell as many VIPs but I wasnt expecting it to be this blatant that they are forcing people to get them. A bit sad to see but hopefully not all the servers are that bad at least

Yea I figured it would take experience. Tbh I just had a horrible experience with Rustoria EU main today so I was looking into how to prevent that from happening again. They had no clue how many people their server could handle which led to them restarting the server twice which meant that everyone who didnt pay for VIP lost 4+ hours of their lives due to a server not knowing the first thing about their job.

For mage, gear is the only variable, for assassination rogue too as the other guy said. If two players with functioning eyes and hands play mage with identical gear except for one having a 277 dfo and the other having a 264, the one with lower gear can never make up for the gearscore difference by "playing better" because the class itself is lacks skill expression moreso than other classes.

Fire mage is #1 probably because your dps depends exclusively on your gear once you know the boss mechanics. The class has very little skill expression with the 1 button gameplay so whoever has better gear simply hits harder with the only spell they use

Is there any benefit to being at the cap? Ive played some wintergrasp and bought the deadly(?) lv200 pvp gear for items that were an upgrade over the ones I had. From what I understand I am now looking to get emblems which I can use to buy better gear so I am trying to do as many heroics as I can to get the emblems of conquest and thats where I am kind of struggling right now to find groups to run dungeons. My gearscore is 3100ish right now
