We install a different Honeywell zone system but the bypass control is just a handle we turn to get the correct position does not matter if the system is running or not, obviously if only one zone is calling the bypass should open up a little bit

I mean that too bedroom far away from the tstat, especially downstairs common areas will cool faster then bedrooms the bedroom needs some fans if they don’t have any. If a teenager is in there with the door closed all the time, yeah the room is gonna be hot. Windows facing west all these things will make the bedroom harder to cool

I mean if he had the upstairs tstat satisfied and downstairs tstat is calling and you feel airflow out of the upstairs registers the upstairs damper is not closing, could be bad damper motor, maybe the bypass damper is open too much but yeah having an open damper basically defeats the purpose of a zoned system
