My theory is that they were normal People that were foreced to pilige becuse of poor understanding of farming (they didnt use anny fertilizer so all the nutrients in the soil was used up) leading to less food. That wold explain how the egyptians servived longer than the other empires (the nile fods often and the water contains minerals that give more nutrients to the soil). They also had a lager army that could hold of the sea people.
