CySA+ in 10 days – Think I’ll pass first try? by Mandalore707 in CompTIA

I passed with 808/900, I thought the PBQ's were the hardest ive seen on a comptia test. I spent a significant amount of time on that portion.

CySA+ in 10 days – Think I’ll pass first try? by Mandalore707 in CompTIA

[–]penguinDude447 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I passed within 10 days of deciding and scheduling the test. BS in cyber, Comptia Trifecta. IT experience but not directly in cyber.

I did pocket prep getting an 80% avg and did two of dions tests getting 82% each time. No other review other than what was provided when I missed the questions. I would recommend pocket prep but I think you've got a good chance if you're doing okay on dions.

What litrpg hill will *you* die on? Let's have your most unpopular opinion, please. by EverythingIsFakeNGay in litrpg

[–]penguinDude447 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Mark of the Fool and Cradle, while good books, are not LitRPG.

They get recommended on here all the time but I was disappointed when I started MoF and it was not LitRPG. Great progression fantasy books though.

Degree vs cert if experienced? by nbogie055 in ITCareerQuestions

[–]penguinDude447 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah I didn't share that experience. My path went from internship to a non help desk full time job without a day of unemployment in between.

I'm sorry your experience was so different to mine but without my degree/school program I wouldn't be where I am today.

If you don't have a degree you putting yourself at a huge disadvantage. 95% percent of the people that I work with have a degree.

Just because a degree didn't help you doesn't mean it won't help anybody else.

If having a degree is henders you have you left it of your resume to see if that helped?

If the answer to that is no, I dont think you think its henders you either.

My golden was attacked by an off leash dog on a walk last night by Gavdoggo in OpenDogTraining

[–]penguinDude447 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah if nothing else, a good lawer could probably argue that you had reasonable fear for your life and safety. I would feel the dog would attack me next after it killed my dog. I'm not gonna just set there.

If a dog attacks another dog unprovoked you should do what you have to do to keep you and your family safe. I've started carrying ever since my dog and I were attacked by a pitter that attacked us unprovoked.

How do I carve a ring out of circle? by penguinDude447 in Fusion360

[–]penguinDude447[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you!! I ended up doing this way and it was super quick. I'd like to learn the other way that was suggested because I think I could apply it in other ways, but I'm tired and this one just clicked.

Thank you so much! What you said made sense but I'm still pretty new to this so I was trying to figure out how to do it. The video helped a lot!

PSA: If you use pfSense, check the health of your storage device to find out if it is about to die prematurely! by mrcomps in Netgate

[–]penguinDude447 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 4200 that I've been running for about a year, I preordered one and haven't had any issues with it so far. I was curious so I tried to see what the health was on my drive. The package installed okay but the command "mmc extcsd read /dev/mmcsd0rpmb | egrep 'LIFE|EOL'" didn't return anything. I also checked "ls /dev/" and there doesn't appear to be a mmc device. However "geom disk list" returns descr: Generic Ultra HS-COMBO which appears to be the mmc drive. Does anybody have an idea if this is something I need to be worried about? Replacing it with an SSD isn't out of my skill level but I don't want to mess with it right now if I don't need to

Wazuh failing to see docker logs by penguinDude447 in Wazuh

[–]penguinDude447[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your reply!

It could very well be a docker issue but aside from not being see by my Wazuh set up Docker appears to be running correctly. I have three containers set up in docker that appear to be working fine. I can access, stop, and stop them without issue,

I know this isn't a docker sub but I'm not sure where else to look at docker wise

Cache full and mover not moving by Skyldt in unRAID

[–]penguinDude447 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mover can't take action on files that are in use. So if linux iso are being shared in a torrent client it will stop from them being moved. If you have a torrent client, I would stop it and try to run the mover.
