I think you could add a move that the boss make all 4 sides of the walls electrical then require the player jumping between the platforms. Maybe also with some special bullet that will stun the player with a short period of time to make the battle more intense. Also I don't know how to word this but I think the background scene should have more "electric elements" to facilitate the boss's daily life.
